2025 Free Agency

I feel like you get worked up like this every FA when we don't sign all the big name guys lol

Yah, trading the farm for that crap QB Trey Lance set the 9ers back and the reason the 9ers had to look forward to free agency in the past.

Getting younger. Honestly the only player i think that we let walk that we shouldnt have was Greenlaw. We are only 24 hours into free agency. We'll get some bargain players in here for sure.

I agree with this. You asked me a few pages ago who I would have signed; I'd also have signed Huff along with Greenlaw.

Personally; I'm not big into free agency and overpaying free agents. The only time I think you can do that is when you have a good QB on a rookie deal with a SB caliber team missing a few pieces. I don't think we are that anymore, especially with Brock needing a deal.

I know what I WOULD NOT have done; reward childish divas with new deals after they requested trades and threw tantrums.

The 49ers have too many holes to supplement. You can get away with being cheap on the O-line, but not on the D-line. Every team that has won a Super Bowl or appeared in it has had a very good D-line. You know that. Even the supplements that they are getting aren't very effective, Kevin Givens was part of that poor run defense.

Rams legit rebuilt their whole DL in 2 yrs. That's with no Bosa on their team and they used only 1 first rd pick.

SF can do that all this off season….I expect them to sign a guy or two there at some point. Doesn't have to be a super star. That will come via the draft. Most likely within the 1st 2RDs

Yeah man just the process of running a team. Hell of a run with the OG Kyle squad. Almost got it done, time evolve and get the next group going.

it's not like this roster is straight s**t across the board anyway. Still have talent. It will always come down to Brock and if he's really the guy here though. The Bills purged last yr last yr and turned out fine.

Rams had no problem rebuilding that DL, this is the draft to do it. We got young guys in the secondary. Still got a top 5 RB, OT, LB, EDGE, TE. Get some young blood around them and let's go.

Exactly, we have an excellent LT, RG, RB, TE and a very good qb and wr1 on offense

On D we have an excellent DE, LB and very good CB not to mention solid cb2

Other teams can't even come close to this talent. We still have a top 5 roster. We just need a few pieces in FA to maintain contending status.

OK so the 49ers gonna win the Super Bowl in two years got it. Thank god we don't have to worry about the 49ers winning the Super Bowl at home, that's stupid anyway.

No it didn't. They could have drafted Kinlaw or Thomas 2.0 all the same with those picks. They still had 18 picks in those next two drafts and proceeded to overdraft players. Taking kickers and s**t TEs.

hopefully their draft philosophy they used last ur rolls into this yr.

I expect they will get better but there's no guarantee of that.

Why couldn't you call it that? Especially based off where they were drafting?

Our 1st 4 picks started at some point this yr and are slated to take on meaningful snaps this year.

There's no guarantee in anything with football, so what's your point?
My point is it's premature to call it a damn good draft.

They could just as easily regress as they could improve it happens all the time,2 years from now this could be considered a great draft or a terrible draft like you said nothing is guaranteed.

Or they could've drafted studs with those picks nothing is guaranteed, but even so another Kinlaw or Thomas would've added more value than Lance ever did.

Lol saying the 49ers without two 1st round picks didn't set the team back, draft wise. So you're saying you don't have faith in the 49ers drafting well yet you want this team to rely on the draft?

You're right it did set us back draft wise. Even if they were not good players, they would've been possibly signed by another team and we could even get comps. Even something as small as that makes a difference.
