Packers trade Rodgers to the Texans once Watson settles. Rodgers doesn't have a no trade clause

Jordan Love must be terrible.
i don't know their cap situation but IMO - Trading Rodgers to Washington would be a good fit.

I really don't think packers would want him in the NFC.

Maybe the Raiders but their not even close to sniffing a SB.

Jimmy G for Allen Lazard and their 2022 3rd. They get a QB that successfully ran a very similar system when healthy and we get a WR3 and a upgrade over KB. Lazard is the big slot WR Kyle was hoping Sanu, Hurd and Jennings would be. A deep middle threat that would keep Safeties honest. Blocking is one of his biggest strengths.

Rodgers would flat out tell them he'll retire rather than play for that f**kery of a franchise killing that deal. He may not have a trade clause but best believe he'll have a say where he goes to.

Alex Smith checked in on how the Packers failed Rodgers in not communicating with him about their intentions. When asked if there had been good communication between him and the 49ers/Chiefs he said:

"Absolutely. That had been communicated the entire offseason leading up to that—the entire offseason—by multiple, multiple people—everybody in the personnel department, Coach Reid constantly, there were multiple phone calls about that happening. That happened when we drafted Kaep with Coach Harbaugh. I knew well in advance of what the team was thinking, the route they were gonna go. And I think that makes a difference. It does, honestly. In Aaron's case, going out of your way to let him know how the team feels about him, how the organization feels about him, how important he is, and that potentially they're thinking this route and explaining their thinking. Clearly, from an outsider looking in, that didn't happen and didn't take place."

Smith goes on to say that perhaps the situation is repairable if the GB FO is willing to apologize and communicate in a professional manner with Rodgers.

With the recent events going on, I think its time to restart this conversation for possible 2022 plans.

I think its safe to say that JimmyG is 99.9% unlikely to be on the roster in 2022. He just isnt the answer. The only people that are on his side is Kittle (for some reason). So what do we do? I think we should start Trey Lance once our easy games. Starting week 11, we have a string of average-terrible defenses: JAX, MIN, SEA, CIN, ATL, TEN, and HOU. Trey Lance can showcase his skills and we can see what we got here. If he lights it up and shows he is ready to run a team, roll with him in 2022 as the starter with a reliable backup. If Trey shows flashes but proves that he is too raw to start or rely on in 2022, I think we should call up Aaron Rodgers and sign him to a 2 year contract. Have Rodgers start 2022 and 2023 with Trey Lance as his backup. In 2024, Lance should be more than ready. He will be 24 at that time, which is still young AF.

"Aaron Rodgers' reworked deal now is signed, per sources. Here are the "on paper" concessions in the new contract: 2023 year is voided. Forfeiture provisions were removed from the contract, preventing the Packers from pursuing prorated portions of Rodgers' signing bonus"

Whether they are friends anymore does not matter imo. No way Packers would ever trade him to us. Only chance is if Trey disappoints and Rodgers comes here willingly in 23'
