CBS is reporting that "earl Thomas days numbered after he got into a fight in training camp and can get cut".. even tho I doubt they will cut him I have seen crazier things.. they could put him on the trading block and could be looking for a trade partner also.. what chances would you give us to sign him if he did?? Remember he's gonna want a big contract

He'll probably sign with Philly, Tampa or Cleveland.

Well the ravens took on Peters so I'm not too sure they would get rid of ET. After all, without him their secondary is going to be vulnerable at safety. I think they made their point with the threat of moving on from him.
Besides he's too expensive for us to consider. Even if he takes a discount to about 8-10 mil a year

You know why I'm worried about this season is there is a very true saying that is if you ain't getting better your getting worse
..look at the saints and the chiefs..and we haven't upgraded our team in anyway.. we got worse actually in loosing defo and Sanders even tho we did replace them with first rounders our team is ready to win now and those guys are rookies..
that's why I would be in favor of getting him.. not to mention we run the same defense that hes comfortable in so it would be a perfect fit and it would be a significant upgrade in a position of need and we are one of the few teams that have a great shot in winning the super bowl this year and we gotta take a shot at it

Last time I checked the Chiefs lost a few corners so they actually did get worse on defense. One can also argue they may have taken a step back at running back as well. Do you know the MVP of the Super Bowl
? Guard could be another position they took a step back so those are already 4 players that were starters. So they did get worse than we did.
The Saints and ravens on the other hand did improve in my opinion
You are right if we got earl Thomas we would improve on the backend and probably get more turnovers. But financially we cannot make it happen unless we restructured a contract or 2

Dallas is square in play on Earl Thomas, with one source going as far as to say the Cowboys "would be leading contender." https://t.co/5cYVKoSutq

Hyperbole. Our two first round picks and Trent Williams says, "Hello."

Hope he doesn't go to the Cowboys but it's pretty much a given. Getting out of the NFC is gonna be a f**ken bloodbath

We don't have the money and I don't think we're going to make room with a contract restructure or by releasing a player. His contract is too much to take on and he does have some issues which our front office may not like.
I still think the guys a play maker but we're not getting him. Dallas isn't that great of a team, especially their secondary however this will help. I'd much rather him be on the Cowboys then us playing Baltimore in the Sb with ET.

I don't see it. We dodged (and are currently dodging) AB and I see us dodging this guy too. Everybody wanted us to sign him a year ago and we apparently didn't even consider it.
The Ravens are Super Bowl contenders trying to win right now and are getting rid of him for possibly nothing. Like that should be a clue, no?
We don't really have the cap space for him either. I suppose we could trade Ward to create that space but eh I don't see this happening.

Really though, this is because he got into a fight with another Safety?? So nothing could be resolved, they're just gonna trade or release him?? There's gotta be more to it, players get into fights and arguments all the time??

A few other teams to watch for #Ravens S Earl Thomas upon him being released: The #49ers and #Texans. They should be among those inquiring, along with the #Cowboys. Thomas, of course, will have a market.
