Earl thomas??

The Cowboys under Mike McCarthy will be a formidable opponent. Look at the 2 rosters and tell me where the 49ers are stronger. It definitely isn't QB,WR or offensive line. I'd give the 49ers the edge at TE,secondary and defensive line but Poe,Lawrence,Aldon Smith and Griffen is a good defensive line. They add Earl Thomas at safety to go along with Clinton Dix and that group is much improved.

Lol ok, you're really putting aldon in there as if this is 2012 and since when has Poe done anything? Dallas oline isn't what it's used to and the fact you think Dak is better is laughable when all he does is tear good teams then looks average against the good ones. The only edge they have is at wr

How many NFL GM's would take Jimmy over Dak? Not many if any.

I'm laughing at that as well. Maybe he didn't watch the Cowboys games last year or prior years because Prescott is horrible under pressure, is bad on third downs, and we're forgetting to mention has had the best line in the NFL since he started as well as top receivers and an elite running back. And he still chokes.

The 49ers are arguably better in every single way and position group except running back and wrs

Can anyone honestly say if Jimmy Garoppolo was on the Cowboys he would do so much better than Prescott. He's never had a great running back, great receiver or great pass protection and that's a fact. Dak has, but then again that's why Garoppolo just wins games and Prescott struggles against s**tty teams.

You dead ass serious!? Freaking Dak gets so much hype for wearing the bs star and playing well against garbage teams and getting yds against good teams during garbage time. Get your eyes checked if you really think Dak is hands down better according to you over a guy who played his first full season coming off an acl and led the offense to the SB. And let's not talk about it was the d the only reason we made it that far where there were games where they didn't show up and it was the offense that carried them. Tell me what Dak would've done against NO, Baltimore or the pressure of those huge throws against LA the 2nd time

And that's also not considering he had elite players at every single position group except te. The Best line, excellent receivers and an elite running back. You've got to be kidding me. Garoppolo would've blown out the Chiefs with that offense surrounding him and more than 2 seconds to pass with that all pro ol
Dak is the most overrated QB in the league. Dude is an average QB

This, it's a f**king joke folks outside of Dallas think Dak is some great qb. Those idiots if they had someone who actually shows up against the top teams would've gone to 1 nfccg with the talent they've had over the years

I think it's gonna be with Dallas. But I wonder if Shanny & Lynch are considering him.

We don't have the money and I don't think we're going to make room with a contract restructure or by releasing a player. His contract is too much to take on and he does have some issues which our front office may not like.

I still think the guys a play maker but we're not getting him. Dallas isn't that great of a team, especially their secondary however this will help. I'd much rather him be on the Cowboys then us playing Baltimore in the Sb with ET.

They voided his contract, so we can afford him.

This. Dude has wanted to play for Dallas from the start.

Then why didn't he choose the Cowboys when he was a free agent??

I see that they released him but do you really think he's going to accept a low amount of cash? I think he's going to get 8-10 mil so we would still have to cut a player or trade a player or restructure a contract or two.
Really wish they'd sign him, but I'm not holding my breath. I know we're tight on the cap though

I'm glad people think he's good because he's going to take up so much of that salary cap they're going to have to release more players like they had to this year. It's great that he's the player that's holding back that team and it's going to stay that way. I love it
What the heck did he even do? Punch Lamar Jackson? There's more to this story. You don't just release a guy for no reason
