Sources: The #Texans and #Browns have agreed to terms on a trade to send starting RT Tytus Howard to Cleveland in exchange for a fifth-round pick.

Much-needed OL help. Plus, Howard gets a new 3-year, $63M extension in a deal done by @malkikawa and Ethan Lock of @FirstRoundMgmt. pic.twitter.com/3X2PprFIjN

McGovern would probably be the only real improvement over Brendel and it wouldn't be drastic. I don't think he's worth $15M per which is what he's looking at

Many around the league believe the 49ers will have interest in signing CB Riq Woolen if he does not return to Seattle, per @mattbarrows & @VicTafur

He is projected to receive a 4-year, $76M deal via The Athletic#49ers | #FTTB pic.twitter.com/miKP9nRv7I

Good with that as well. Just don't want to pay woolen close to 20per

No thanks for that amount. Solid player, but he was always the one getting attacked in that secondary.

Totally agree, he's also lucky Seattle had the kind of pass rush to help him. Much rather draft a CB and use the cap space on the D-line or offense. Also wouldn't mind it if they went with someone cheaper like Alontae Taylor and draft a rookie.
This guy.

I like Luke Fortner from the Saints. He is a better pass protector than any of the guys you noted. Spotrac rates his value at $6 million versus McGovern at $16.

Forgot to add Tyler Biadasz and Llord Cushenberry. You sure you aren't watching Erik McCoy? Lol

Could be a great idea if they are thinking of trading Renardo Green.
Big contract but no need to draft a corner very high + get say a 3rd round pick back for Green.
So kind of an arbitrage scenario where we replace one of our starting CBs with a FA and trade the former starter for a 3rd rd pick and now we've got an extra draft pick out of the deal that can be used to fill our tons of needs. And if Green is worth a 3rd rounder there are so many good players to grab in the region of 70-100ish.
Great move if they can pull it off IMO.

The McCoy situation is interesting. His 2026 cap number is $17 million. Obviously they can restructure, but he is signed through 2027. Being $10 million over the cap, they will be moving some numbers around. So, maybe they keep McCoy and let Fortner go. Fortner played almost twice as many snaps as McCoy with almost identical performance. One of the two of them will be on the market.
