2025 Free Agency

We would have some room for FA's again this yea and not as many comp pick potentials to worry about losing out there. Now it seems Aiyuk will be cut.freeing up future cap room. Trent will be done too this year or next.
i'm expecting some FA signing to replace the lost talent. They never go crazy though as FA is expensive .
Their big splurge should be Linderbaum at center to help fix the line.
We need to get a WR also maybe Dobbs or Pierce.
I would be on board with Pierce. I always have wanted a tall fast WR at X. Aiyuk was great at getting open but wasn't tall if covered.
Now, I always though Pierce was more of a one trick deep threat. Shanny likes more of a roue runner though he supposedly improved there.
Of course, we don't bomb it 50 or 60 yrds, but we can still hit him 40 yrds deep and open up the middle of the field.
I thought he was more a role player and would be cheaper. i saw the reports of him getting 20mil which seemed crazy.
i'd say more like 15mil. and 18mil for Linderbaum. Replace Aiyuk's contract with these two. Of course this is after the short term cap hit w have to take first. .

I also would like to see some of Purdy's former teammates come here to be able to play with him again.
Charlie Kolar TE is the most practical one to be a backup here.
The big one would b Bryce Hall which would be great to replace McCaffrey in the future. McCaffrey isn't done yet which will likely block us from getting someone now.

The 49ers aren't going to be doing much spending this offseason, so if you're expecting that, you're going to be in for a massive disappointment. It's going to look similar to last year's offseason.

Despite the reports from Kawakami and Silver reports reporting that the 49ers front office is focusing on clearing the books and maximizing value by being extremely prudent with who they pay moving forward, people on here were still in denial, expected the team to be aggressive in free agency and were outraged when the big FA acquisition was Luke Farrell.

No one expected the niners to be aggressive in FA. We had $90m in dead money.... That is just a take that never happened.

I don't expect the niners to be major players, but I can assure you we will be more active than having our top fa be a $7m/yr TE

You clearly weren't paying attention then. There were a number of people that genuinely believed the 49ers would sign Drew Dalman, who became one of the highest paid centers in the NFL, even after the reports of the 49ers cutting spending. Kolohe was losing his damn mind with every day of free agency that passed and the 49ers didn't sign anyone sexy.

These are definitely measured responses by "no one" that expected the 49ers do nothing in free agency LOL. This is just from a few pages in the John Lynch thread during free agency last year.

One thing is for sure, Lynch won't let this roster stay like this for long. Meaning, the off season just frickin started I bet Lynch gonna surprise us with some good additions!!!

Lol f**k this sorry ass team. Cheap f**ks

We have seen this before. SEVERAL times with the Yorks. Their history has more than one example like this. As the York cycle repeats. It's important to remember they will eventually implode your team. They have done it many times.

Just sickening, what a year to hit the reset or rebuild button when the Super Bowl is at your house. I guess the goal isn't to win a Super Bowl this year.

Kolohe was literally losing his damn mind

This f**kin sucks!!

I would have been pissed has they spent a bunch of money in FA last year. Was an awful FA class. While I don't think they will spend like drunken sailors this offseason, I do think they will be active,

Looking to replace cmc with a draft pick? Look at Nicholas singleton. . Would be a great fit just like jordan James. Not sure why KS won't play rookies.

Replacing McCaffrey? You serious?
Please pick up Diggs and put in a waiver claim for him just in case. Our corners have almost always been our weakness, now we can get a very good corner on a cheaper deal because of circumstances (injury recovery and poor defense/DC) not so much for his loss in ability to play. Please make this move. I can't see Lueter getting burned anymore. We had our Witherspoons and similar cbs that cost us. Fix it now….. pretty please, with a cherry on top

He's not a very good corner anymore unfortunately

Better than Leuter and Green (Green gets burned a little too much especially on double moves).

I thought his contract would be crazy for waiver wire but

Id roll the dice
If Linderbaum for some crazy reason were to hit FA, that is the one you really open the pocketbook for.
WR should be need 1,2 and 3, Justin Jefferson or bust, we need speed

They will sign or franchise him
