Yeah I honestly don't know just heard that being thrown around haha wouldn't mind him though he'd be good as a 3rd, 4th string

I wouldn't mind him for a decent price, I think hes good if hes healthy and could possibly take Green's spot if he played for us

I doubt it, he is an ok starter to great depth. Probably on the same tier but the arrow is pointing up for green

Hes had a coverage grade of 80.8 in 2022 then 75.6 in 23 so hes been above average I say the years hes played all games. Green definitely has an arrow pointing up.

C David Andrews: Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have Ryan Neuzil slotted in at center right now, but Andrews, if healthy, is a perfect veteran to compete for the job. If he wins it, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. could have a seasoned center to guide him through his first full season starting in the NFL. If he doesn't, he's outstanding depth at the position.

S Justin Simmons: San Francisco 49ers

With the news that 49ers safety Malik Mustapha isn't expected to be ready for the season because of a torn ACL, Simmons would be the perfect short-term replacement for San Francisco until Mustapha is ready to reassume his role in the starting lineup. Simmons could fill a key veteran leadership role on the back end and give the 49ers excellent depth at the position once Mustapha is healthy. He could even play as a third safety.

As much as it makes sense I don't see it happening. Think they won't make any big signing until they extend Purdy/Kittle. That and they probably want to see what they have in camp
For some fearful reason, I believe Shanny/Lynch feels much more positive about the current state of the oline than even our most optimistic fan in here, and they may not bring in anyone to compete or whatever, perhaps I'm wrong...

Having said that, 49ers (at least on paper) have significantly improved the ST unit, and the defense already seems like it's going to be much improved especially with Saleh back. I am hoping to just bring in (at the least) Justin Simmons and even one legit vet LB for solid depth (Mosely, Maybin, whoever)

I believe they still have a playoff team and anything else is possible once they get there

Spotrac estimates his market value at $18,9 million. Of course, the fact he is still unsigned suggests his value isn't that. If he sits for a month, he might come in low, but we guaranteed Damarcus Robinson $6 million so I don't see room for Cooper who is on the back side of his career. Cooper has been on too many different teams to suggest he is of great value here.

the rumor is robinson is facing a possible suspension, and if that is early season when ba is not available, i see a need here.

There may be a need. The question is two part: Is Cooper an answer (perhaps yes) 2. Will his price be something we can afford right now?

i don't think the contracts are gonna be much. tyler lockett i have always had respect for. he got 1 year 4 mil, from titans. i would be looking for a value vet play such as that. keenan allen comes to mind also.
