I kinda hope the Niners *don't* throw a ton of money at a corner. Such a high bust rate over the years for corners that sign big contracts in free agency.
The Richard Sherman signing by the Niners a few years ago was perfect. Reasonable contract for a really good player. That's very rare to get in free agency.
I tend to agree but a CB like JC Jackson rarely becomes a free agent. This isn't like when AJ Bouye or Byron Jones become free agents and people hype them up like they are top tier players. JC is one of the best in the league.
Fair point. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. I'd love to add another stud pass rusher opposite Bosa(which would make the Niners corners jobs way easier) but I know those are also expensive and hard to get.
Maybe they can get Stephon Gilmore on a reasonable 2 year deal? I dunno…just spitballing here.
