DT Damon Snacks Harrison

Lions just cut him today to save cap space...he could be a nice addition in the middle of our DL. He wouldn't need to play as many snaps as he did in Detroit, either. He's 31, so a short-term contract would be appropriate and arguably not very expensive. He's still a very good run stuffer.

Weird how people don't see this value. Maybe he helps on the 4th. and 1's dat Baltimore, Seattle, Atl. and Chiefs (all losses) converted so effortlessly!..

Possibly. Wouldn't hate it if he's cheap.

I get that he is a plugged. Would not mind if he was in the rotation on run downs. He can command double teams and is excellent against the run, as long as he is not paid a crazy amount.

DJ Jones, Kentavious street, and J. Taylor weren't thought of a "fits", either yet we missed them down the stretch. But we will see, I learned to never say never around here.

Huh? DJ Jones is a good fit for this scheme. Explosive and squatty penetrating nose. That's what they're looking for.

Street was awful and should've never been moved to the interior. Not sure why you bring him up. He was terrible this year.

Taylor is a borderline freak athlete. He can literally play in any scheme.

Did these penetrators help on ANY 4th. and 1's converted by Seattle, Atl. Chiefs, or Ravens(all loses) and BOTH Cardinal games (should've lost)when Drake and Murray ran amuck ?- when a stuffer could've helped ?? Or when our run defense started falling off down the stretch? I get your argument, but you're not seeing anybody elses. Touche'
Do you understand that isn't my criteria? I didn't make this up. This isn't subjective. These are facts. I'm literally relaying to you what the team wants in a nose tackle, what the 49ers want. Not what you or I want. What the 49ers want. This is what the scheme requires.

This isn't Madden. There's a reason they want a penetrating nose from a shaded 2tech. Here are the facts from Andre Fluellen, former NFL DT who played for Kocurek in Detroit.

Again , I see your argument, but my point (and the point of almost all others on this post) is that it wouldn't be bad to have him as a rotational backup player that can offer a physical presence we need sometimes. An OPTION, not the be all, end all. I'm grown enough to agree to disagree with you w/o being disagreeable or butt hurt (as all the stats you just posted above attest to, yet and still don't answer the questions I proposed of the games listed, but I digress). At the end of the day its opinion. As far as Madden, you're right it's not, and too bad b'cuzz we're probably not gonna keep AA, (considering Buckner has to be extended). Every lil bit can help..
