First of all, Rivers isn't top 10 all-time. But that's beside the point.

Second of all, you might want to check Stafford's numbers. He's on a similar trajectory to the other guys I mentioned. Just doesn't have the postseason resume is all.

Third of all, these are five very recent QB's and a clear indicator of the era. They're a sign that the game is changing and playing at a high level into your late-30's is much more common now.

If you want me to give another example: Carson Palmer. He was a second All-Pro at age 35-36.

#12 is the absolute max I would go.

Anything more and rather trade up for Wilson or select Jones at #12 and run it back with Jimmy with Jones waiting in the wings when Jimmy gets injured again.

To all the people who think we can get a 2nd round pick by trading Garoppolo, please stop kidding yourselves. No one, and I mean no one, in their right mind would trade under any circumstance a 2nd rounder for Jimmy.
