Stafford will be age 37 for the 2025 season. He definitely has at least five very, very good seasons left IMO.

So in your mind Stafford is one of the 10 best QBs of all time? That is some high praise.

Just because Brady has played well doesn't mean Stafford will. No one is going to give up 2 firsts for an above average QB who is in his 30s.

Please don't use the word definitely in this context. Because it isn't.

First of all, Rivers isn't top 10 all-time. But that's beside the point.

Second of all, you might want to check Stafford's numbers. He's on a similar trajectory to the other guys I mentioned. Just doesn't have the postseason resume is all.

Third of all, these are five very recent QB's and a clear indicator of the era. They're a sign that the game is changing and playing at a high level into your late-30's is much more common now.

If you want me to give another example: Carson Palmer. He was a second All-Pro at age 35-36.

I put "IMO" though, so not like I stated it as fact. I could end up being wrong who knows.

#12 is the absolute max I would go.

Anything more and rather trade up for Wilson or select Jones at #12 and run it back with Jimmy with Jones waiting in the wings when Jimmy gets injured again.

It's not just Stafford, it's Stafford with Shanahan and kittle/Aiyuk/Deebo plus a top 5 running game...oh and a top 10 defense.

To all the people who think we can get a 2nd round pick by trading Garoppolo, please stop kidding yourselves. No one, and I mean no one, in their right mind would trade under any circumstance a 2nd rounder for Jimmy.
