Byron Jones is the only CB in that list worth a look. Not sold on Anthony Harris. Feel like he had a fluke year. Will get way overpaid. Ryan is nice but he's slow.

Hopefully, we can keep restructuring deals, and cut or trade some of the dead weight to free up space. We can resign our key people and extend others. It sounds like they still would like to be able to add a few people. Id like to see our main add be to fix the old by adding Joe Thuney and dumping Person. The smaller add I already mentioned would be adding Drake. I'd also love to end up with Byron Jones, but we'd have to dump Sherman to do it.

We won't sign more than 2-3 low end cheap FAs this year if that.

It's a large list, but at this point in the FA search, it kind of needs to be. Naturally, who the Niners go after will be somewhat based on them re-signing or not re-signing Armstead. If they can't, then there are some DL worthy of consideration on the list. Lots of CB's, as I see that as a recurring need, along with a number of pass rushers and some OL. Again, these are guys I think the Niners should consider, not necessarily sign. I know the cap situation's not nearly as healthy as it's been in recent years.
Breshad Perriman, WR, Bucs. This guy really impressed me...good speed & size, solid hands and definite big play-making abilities. A good alternative to re-signing Sanders.
Shaq Lawson, DE, Bills. He didn't start any games for the Bills last year, but still had 6.5 sacks. At 6-3, @ 270, he's got good size and might be worth signing as depth.
Vic Beasley, DE/LB, Falcons. Had a premier season in 2016 with 16.5 sacks, then tailed off, although he did have to fight through some injuries. Just another pass rusher worth considering for depth.
Jimmie Ward, DB, Niners. Jimmie had his best season yet, so I'm sure Saleh would love to have him back. His versatility is excellent...kind of a jack-of-all trades in the defensive backfield.
Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles. The Bears running game suffered without this guy. He's a decent banger, something our backfield doesn't really have. He's 25, so has a number of good years ahead of him. Could be worth a shot.
Kendall Fuller, CB, Chiefs. In 2017 & 18 he showed play making abilities with 6 picks for the Chiefs & 'Skins. Only played in 11 games in 2019 with 4 starts. Saleh needs some CB help...Fuller might be worth considering.
Vonn Bell, SS, Saints. Talk about consistency...that's this guy. I know we have Tartt, but adding a guy like this could really solidify the back-end of Saleh's defense. Maybe one of 'em could play FS? (see Tre Boston below, though).
Darqueze Dennard, CB, Bengals. I like this guy...very solid in coverage, good size and experience. Feel he'd be an excellent addition to bolster the CB corps.
Tre Boston, FS, Panthers. Man, this is the dude for FS. We haven't had a play maker like him at that position in a long time. They could forgo re-signing Ward and put their money on this guy.
Kenyon Drake, RB, Cards. Based on what he did vs us last season, he's worth consideration. He still has relatively fresh legs, as Miami didn't use him a ton. Good speed and can catch the ball.
Logan Ryan, CB, Titans. He's still a very good CB...savvy vet who plays smart & tough. Another guy Saleh would love to have, IMHO.
Graham Glasgow, OG/C, Lions. He could supplant Person at RG...it's a position that needs an upgrade as the Chiefs exploited it in the SB. The fact he can also play C increases his value.
Bradley Roby, CB, Texans. Roby's got game...he's been somewhat inconsistent both in Denver and Houston, but the kid can play and has good ball skills.
Eric Ebron, TE, Colts. EE had a good season in Indy...began to show his true potential. He could be a nice compliment to Kittle. Not sure about his blocking abilities, though.
Trae Waynes, CB, Vikes. Another guy not lacking in confidence...because he can make plays. There are better CB's in FA, but they'll also be more expensive.
Kyle Van Noy, DE/LB, Pats. He could fill a role for Saleh with his pass rushing and tackling skills. Smart, heady player, who'd make our defense better.
Javon Hargrave, DL, Steelers. Solid DL with good size (6-2, 305). He could be a solid b/u to DJ Jones at NT. Quality DL depth will help our D sustain over the long season (& post-season).
Joe Thuney, OG, Pats. He's played 16 games each of the last 4 seasons for NE. In 2019 he had zero holding penalties or false starts. Solid as a rock & would definitely upgrade our OL in a major way. 2nd team All-Pro in 2019.
Justin Simmons, FS, Broncos. Young & talented player...'had 93 tackles, 15 PDF, 4 picks in 2019. You know Fangio will try his darndest to keep him, but if he can't he'd be a good investment for our DB.
Anthony Harris, DB, Vikes. Another playmaker...last 2 seasons, 17 PDF, 9 picks. That kind of play making could be a big upgrade for our secondary.
Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons. This guy could be a great compliment to Kittle...if he can block at all, sign him up.
Jack Conklin, OT, Titans. He'll likely command a considerable salary, but I included him on this list due to Staley possibly needing a replacement in the next season or two, or to play RT so McGlinchey could slide over and play LT. He might be a little too pricey, though.
Yannick Ngakoue, DE, Jags. He's had 37.5 sacks over his 4 seasons with the Jags. That consistency would play well on our defense to give Saleh yet another PR.
Byron Jones, CB, Cowboys. He'll no doubt make some money with whomever he signs with. Solid player with 44 PDF in 5 seasons in Dallas. Good tackler, so will be very attractive to a number of teams.
- Arik Armstead, Niners. They know it'll take some money to re-sign him, as he's trending upward in a big way. Saleh would love to keep him & keep his DL starters basically intact, but it won't be easy.
Good list. But it's been stated over and over again mclinchey is not a lt. And he's not.and Kenyan Drake is trash imo. If I remember correctly he sat behind Frank Gore a year or two ago. I'd rather just bring back Frank

I just want Frank back
He could be backup H back and our goal line guy.

Don't be shocked if they sniff at Bradley Roby. They wanted him last yr. He's a fine CB and is still pretty young.
