I thought waivers last for 24 hours? ESPN says he'll be on waivers till Monday? WTF!!

Because the Cardinals released him on Friday. It's a 24-hour business day, so Saturday and Sunday don't count.

Kind of ironic.

Lol stop it NFL, this isn't the Post Office!!!
Anyone know how the waiver process works? Would he be able to tell his agent where he wants to go as a deciding factor of teams waiting for him on the waiver?

I'm hoping Sizz has some influence where he gets picked up. Having Juice here helps along with his desire to spite Baltimore (if we play them again 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 this year).

I think this is the waiver wire order. As for his agent, if a team picks him off waivers, I believe (as said earlier in the thread somewhere) they have to take on a prorated portion of their current contract.

For anyone wondering, we're currently 31st in the waiver order.

32. Ravens
31. 49ers
30. Packers
29. Patriots
28. Saints
27. Seahawks
26. Bills
25. Chiefs
24. Vikings
23. Texans
22. Rams
21. Steelers
20. Titans

Yes and No.

He can tell his agent where he doesn't want to go but he and his agent cannot prevent a team from putting in a waiver claim.

If he doesn't want to play for the team that claims him he can retire or choose to not report. That team can then put him on the NFL reserve/retired list or the NFL reserve/left squad list which essentially means he won't count against their 53 or salary cap but still hold his rights.

Via Schefter :

Though he is eligible to be claimed on waivers at 4 pm ET Monday, former Cardinals' pass rusher Terrell Suggs will strongly consider not reporting to his new claiming team if it is anyone other than the Baltimore Ravens, per league sources.

Claim his ass anyway. If he doesn't want to play here that's cool. Place him on the reserve/retired list or reserve/left squad should he not report.

Don't allow them to get stronger and don't allow the player to attempt to strong arm the waiver wire rule set in place.

I think if the 9ers claimed him, he would play for them. Not only would he get a chance to play for a Super Bowl contender but possibly against the Cards next season if they decided to keep him, I think they would.
Claim so the Ravens can't! Don't want it to bite us in the butt in the super bowl!

He won't show up supposedly to any team that claims him unless it's the ravens

He possibly would play for a few teams (Bal, SF, Sea, NE and maybe KC and NO).

But I think he really wants to go back to Baltimore. I would claim him regardless of whether he would play for us though.

That's not really what he said. He'll consider sitting or retiring.

This.
Lynch needs to put in a claim. There is no way he's going to be claimed by a contender and then not report. My guess is he's only saying this to prevent the non contenders from wasting his time.

I doubt he even makes it to us though, so this is pointless. Just please don't end up in Seattle, LAR, New Orleans or anyone else we might face in the playoffs.

Probably trying to tell teams like Pitt, Ten, Indy, Houston, Dallas/Philly and Minnesota that he has no desire to be on a team that will likely be one and done in the playoffs. He wants a more honest chance to win another ring.

Steelers claiming him simply to cock block their division rival would be lulz though.

It makes sense. Why would you allow the Ravens a shot at getting better when you can block it? If he doesn't report you still win. This is why I doubt he even makes it to us.
