This. I'd love to have Adams and I'm sure he'd love to be here but the niners aren't trading for him. The Jets are gonna want quality reimbursement for him and we have no picks after the first round until the 5th. He's gonna want to get paid in the next year and we already have too many people to pay.

The niners I think will be relatively quiet in free agency and the trade market. They may sign a couple bargain bin players just to round out their depth but I expect this off-season to be all about getting deals done for their stars and keeping their core players around.

It's tempting but there is no way we could make this work long-term IMHO.

We just traded away Buckner because we didn't feel paying him was the right move. This would directly contradict that.

Can't wait for this team to be able to cut Kwon's contract so we can actually pay for elite talent

No way this happens with the 9ers. I don't think they want to break up Ward and Tartt and blow up the salary cap.

If we traded Jimmy Ward and gave this guy 13 or 14 million a year that would only be a net difference of about 4 -5 million per year and we pick up an all pro player, It would totally be worth it but it's a move we would not make. Especially if we have to give them the 31st pick in the draft. I would do it
