Interesting. I don't think the secondary has been playing exceptionally well at all. Minkah would be an instant upgrade on a rookie contract.

The overall picture tho, they made a lot of big plays and the final scores indicates that they didn't screw things up.

Bingo. Sure they're not the Legion of Boom but they make enough plays where I think Lynch wouldn't bother with such a trade. Besides I'm willing to bet that O-line is a lot higher priority for them.

There is no Minkah level OL available to be traded. Its more about talent not position. Williams got abused in the slot and the NFC West is now chockful of dangerous slot receivers.

No no I'm not asking for Lynch to trade for a O-lineman. I just think they'll be concentrating on getting the OL patched up before anything else. DO I want Minkah Fitzpatrick....hell yes, do I think Lynch will make an offer for, I highly doubt it.
We don't have the piece that makes sense to Miami without dealing our first rounder which doesn't make sense.

This. We need that #1 pick.
Still wonder if we could swap our first for their second + Minkah.
Our first could be near the end of the round and their second could....will....be near the top.
Throw in an extra later pick if need be.

They are asking for a first round pick and some change.

Yes, so we can draft another solly or Reuben

You don't think we need another McGlinchey?

Exactly. Our drafting in the first round has been atrocious, outside of the obvious picks like Bosa.

Why gamble on a college prospect when you know what you have with Fitzpatrick, coupled with his rookie contract and the fact that we have K'wuan Williams getting abused in the secondary?

McGlinchey is atrocious? You guys make it sound like Solly and Reuben were in two different years. It was the same year because they traded up back in the first for Reuben

McGlinchey isn't atrocious. But he most likely could've been had in the second round. Regardless, I would gladly use a first rounder for a position of need on a player who has already proven he can play in this league in multiple positions rather than gamble on a prospect.

Raiders were taking him with the very next pick
