I'd rather take the chance then give up what aounts to 3 firsts and a 2nd for one.

IF Beckham can be acquired for the proper price he's worth looking at.

Take Bosa and then trade for OBJ. Give them our 2nd and next year's first.

Only reason the Giants would trade with us would be to take a QB early this year.
Surprised it's almost 50-50 voting - not a straightforward decision
Hate to remotely agree with Cohn, but he's not terribly wrong about Burns, which is why I'd still be good with the OBJ option.

If Kyler goes 1 and Giants trade up to get Haskins at 2. That leaves three picks until 49ers at 6. Will Bosa, QW and be those three picks? Maybe but I'd doubt it. Sweat could be liked more, Burns could be liked more, Gary could be liked more OR one of the three could go in a completely different direction. What if Denver moves up to get Drew Lock, what if Jets decide to get a top WR for Darnold ... Etc.

The 6th pick will net the 49ers a top prospect. The only one that's not going to fall is Bosa. I'd put it at better than a 50/50 shot that either Allen or Williams falls.

I love Bosa but getting a premier WR who can do it all and a prospect only slightly worse than Bosa is more desirable.
As the thread states, Ideally I want OBJ AND QW, perhaps the biggest talent in the draft (is he even 20 yet?). Problem is I don't think he lasts till #6, nor Allen.
Reading everyone's response, im definitely torn on this.

Problem is that we don't know really know what Giants would actually take or what the niners would actually give up on this.

But if it 2nd, and 36th pick, plus next years 2nd for OBJ and #6 overall i'd totally do it, we can still draft something of value of at 6.

But i also have a feeling that we will be making a surprise pick this year.
No thank you to OBJ. I'm not trading for a headcase who has ranked 3rd in the league in drops since 2016. No fkn thanks.

Not moving back out of 2 either. We need a blue chip impact player. You will not get that with Burns or Sweat IMHO. Game tape!! Just watch the game tape. That tells the story.

I'd rather do this scenario: land a solid edge rusher and another vet. Draft Williams at 2 or White. Or trade the pick.

Giants will want a 2nd at least and then some.

Lol OBJ is on pace for HOF and is way more of an impact player than any DE in the draft within the next 3 years. That's what I'd call a blue chip impact player. lol. And how many amazing catches from bad balls from garbage Eli did OBJ catch, huh? Where are the stats for that to balance out those dropped passes?

Headcase? He has a garbage 35-year-old QB ruining his prime who refuses to teach the younger QBs and refuses to step down. I'd be a headcase too.

So in essence you are valuing Odell Beckham at 1 1st 3 2nds and a 4th. Do you think that is proper value for him?

Well if OBJ is on pace for a HOF career then I guess so is Barkley, hell Mahomes too? Hell there's a crap load of guys on pace for a HOF career. Aldon Smith was...how did that work out for him. Too early for HOF chatter. one handed catches from bad passes? lol come on sweets that's a weak point. I will say this the drops would out weigh the sick one handed catches how about these nice & easy beautiful passes did he drop? feel free to take a look below.

Sorry a WR alone don't care who you are will not lead us to a Super Bowl or the promise land. So IMHO I believe a solid pass rusher who really can impact the game in a major way just as much as an impact WR can is more important. Kyle's offense has shown you do not need a Julio jones to make it work. injuries have killed us, but yet he's managed to have near scrubs (not really) perform like gold. Defense wins championships. We need a solid edge rusher. Look how damn important and how much of an impact Justin Smith was. Justin smith made Aldon Smith good. Look at how much Aldon's production dipped once Justin retired. Either way yes we cannot say that one of these edge rushers is a HOF but there's some solid impact players. We need IMPACT PLAYERS ON DEFENSE!!!!!

Do you honestly think Eli has that much pull & say? lol no. They can cut his ass if they damn well feel like it. They're pulling the classic over loyal card. Eli won them 2 Super Bowls. lol they're in bed with him. he has no pull like that. he's not lebron james. So many teams do this with aging vets who brought them glory. hell our own SF giants do it a lot lol.

I would offer the giants our 2nd round pick this year plus our 1st round picks the next 2 years . I wont give up the 2nd pick becasue we need nick bosa .

Yeah, not happening.
I'm kinda surprised how many people value Bosa over OBJ plus whoever the Niners would pick at #6 overall.

I like Bosa but getting a proven stud WR at the NFL level plus the draft being deep at dline seems to make this a no brainer for me. Obviously, you guys must be a little higher on Bosa than I am.

Good news is, the Niners would be much better off as a team with BOTH of these options.
