I think Shanahan has made it clear, he wants a wideout with Julio Jones size and ability, short of that, he's not going to bother.

Shanahan has stated it doesn't matter about size and good wrs come in all different shapes, Julio Jones type wrs don't come out every year

Well then I guess if the Niners did choose to pursue him and failed, then Lynch failed. Can we agree there? I know it's a criminal offense to say anything negative about Lynch around these parts but reality is reality.

I'm sure the Niners A-Robs agent to test waters as every team did but I don't think they made serious effort. His injury prob caused less teams to want to throw money at him with more prob looking at a 1 year prove yourself deal. Robinson probably jumped at the 3-year deal the Bears offered.
But I can't honestly say I know we did or didn't.

Without knowing the inner workings of the pursuit of ARob, we cannot say with any sort of certainty that Lynch failed.
