Any FA WR worth a serious look still?

Cam Meredith, RFA, received original-round tender from Chicago. Had a semi- breakout season 2016: 66/888/4. Tore ACL last year in preseason. 6'3", ran 4.42 at pro-day. Could be had pretty cheap.

Well then I guess if the Niners did choose to pursue him and failed, then Lynch failed. Can we agree there? I know it's a criminal offense to say anything negative about Lynch around these parts but reality is reality.
Without knowing the inner workings of the pursuit of ARob, we cannot say with any sort of certainty that Lynch failed.
We can safely assume that we would've had to pay more than 3 years 42 mil with 25 guaranteed.
And that gets a

Meredith could be a low cost option. I'd also look at Jordan Matthews and Allen Hurns.

Can you honestly say they did? You can't say he "chose" to go to the Bears over the Niners if the Niners never made an offer.
I honestly can't say if they did or didn't, after all reports always come out later on in this season if they did or didn't pursue this player or that player. But one thing is for sure is that Robinson CHOSE Chicago over the other teams vying for him. Who those teams really were I would think official reports will come out later. We can sit here and speculate for days, but you would have to assume that the 49ers with top 3 cap space did pursue Allen Robinson the best WR on the market, but how much they did, well again, we will find out later.
Remember this, just because you and I like a player doesn't mean Shanahan feels the same way.

To the original poster: the answer is still yes in FA, +1 difference maker in draft
Inman: good route runner, complimentary game + breakout performance ability
Coleman: athletic/size combo, complimentary game behind Saints several weapons
Fowler: successful in RZ last year, complimentary game behind Thomas and the other dude in less than stellar passing game.
If we are lucky to get any of these guys in FA at a decent price, at the very least we gain competition at WR3, formation/matchup versatility, and it pushes our need for a WR in the draft to the later rounds/next year.
Get like me... we don't need a fake WR1. We need versatility. Let's get several WR2s who do their thing on game day, spread it out until we hit on a #1 guy in the draft.

Nice post. I watched a lil of Inman here in SD... I'd like to kick the tires.
Can probs add Decker to that list as a rotating guy and RZ threat.

I wouldn't mind Coleman or Inman. Both have upside and would be good red zone options.

Hey hey... that's what I'm talking about! Let's go tell Lynch and Paraag to draw something up.
