6-7 million? Pass

That's actually not that bad for a starting RB. Shoot Leveon wants something like $12 mil per year. Yikes!!!
He rushed for 570 yards...3.8YPC and just 3 TD's. His 2016 wasn't that good either at 539 yards....3.4YPC and 2 TD. No thanks for that kind of money.
That's an exorbitant amount of money, especially considering how deep this RB draft is.

Personally, I wouldn't pay for any of these RBs. That said, I do like McKinnon, so if they signed him, I wouldn't be upset.
Damn that's a lot of cash. Bummer because I really think he'd be a yuuuge weapon for us
Outside the top-5 RBs, guys aren't making more than than about 5M/yr.

McKinnon would be closer to the 4M/yr, which is actually good money for a RB.

Talk about being undervalued, you pretty much have to be a top-10 RB to make more than the top kickers. That's precisely why I think Cleveland will pass on Barkley at #1. The position just doesn't hold the value that it used to.

Don't get swept up in these amounts. Dude could get a 40M/year contract and it's actually a 1 year $2M deal in reality.

Paraag ain't no sucker.

Dude that's horrible...Freeman is making $8 million per yr

You can't compare bell to other RBs

I thought bell wanted close to 20mil. If Freeman is making 8mil, I wouldn't pay McKinnon more than 5.5mil and that's coming from big fan of his. He's a role playing back, not a bell cow. He'd be more effective on a team like NE where they use multiple guys.

I have no issue paying dudes like McKinnon $6M/year so long as he has to hit incentives like Sherman. What's the harm?

Don't want to be seen as the team that overpaid for a player and be made fun of for it?

Idk man. Adding Zeke to the cowboys made them a whole different team. Look at the team when he played vs when he was suspended. That added element of elite talent coming from the run game keeps Defenses honest. Barkely looks significantly better than the next best RB in this draft.

RBs are severely undervalued, but when you don't have a serviceable running game, you become predictable. Look at Detroit since Bush left. The colts, Redskins, Giants as well.

Goes both ways though. When Zeke came back, they still struggled because Dak wasn't playing as well.

Prior to Zeke, Murray was running all over the place at will.

I'd rank it QB, then Oline, then skill positions (WRs and RBs).

Same thing in LA. Gurley wasn't dominant again until McVay got Goff playing well.

As for Barkley, I wouldn't say he's significantly better than the others. If you're judging the guy as an athlete and his measures, sure, he looks a little better. RBs rely so heavily on fitting into the right system. If Saquon goes to the Browns he'll struggle. Regardless of who Kyle picks up, he'll look pretty good. That's just how it is. Barkley can't fix the Browns. That's on the right offensive scheme and the right QB. The RB is merely a compliment.

His incentives would have to be way different and his career numbers are not on his side as far as contract leverage goes. He's not All Pro caliber for one. As a RB at 5'9 and 205lbs, he's not playing 90% of the snaps. Only Bell got 90%, Gurley was at 81%, Hyde was 72%. All of them are 220+.

I'd ask him to produce better numbers than last year. Hyde gave us 1100 all purpose yards and 8Tds. I'm asking him for
Rushing: 750yds
Catching: 750yds
12total TDs

He's capable of that.

I'm saying he'll be a better piece to the present team that includes Taylor and Landry. You don't think Haley will want someone that he can mold in a Le'Veon Bell type player like he had in Pitt though? I kno bell is special but Haley likes having a 3 Down guy. I really feel like the addition of Haley will change their offense slightly.
No thanks, rb's come a dime a dozen as do wr's

Every OC wants a Leveon Bell, but I think they'd prefer a QB. IMO, Darnold is the easy pick.

I'd go QB, then BPA at #4 (Chubb or DB). Trading out of #4 is also an option.

In the 2nd I'd grab Guice if he's still there or another RB (Rojo or Penny).

Demarco Murray says otherwise
