What would it take to trade for AJ Green?

If he was actually available what do you guys think the asking price would be?

Our 2nd this year and 3rd next year?

Two 3rds...another guy who's been injury prone the past couple yrs.

And it's a foot which is always scary. I'd still give up 2 3rds. I think his cap hit this year is 10-11

He still looks pretty good to me.

Yes that's why I'd love to trade 2 3rds for him

No way CIN trades away Green - he's all they've got.

no doubt he's still good...gotta be healthy though, especially if you have to pay him in a yr.

Do you think they'll extend him this offseason? Or just play tag with him later?

so glad you are not the GM

and you'll forever be a POP WARNER assistant special team coach if you think AJ Green isn't worth a 3rd rounder.. .

Except you said to offer our #3 this year AND our #3 next year that can turn into a #1. Lol

YES I DID.. you may find it funny but at least you are able to read and comprehend.. too bad you can't do MATH..

The point is, can you imagine the numbers he would put up in order to lead the league in receptions and TDs??

and imagine where are team will be he puts up those HUGE numbers??

I don't know, ask the Falcons, Texans, and Buccaneers where it got them. Lol

It's been proven over and over that you don't need an elite WR to win in the NFL. So you shouldn't be trading a 3rd and potentially a 1st for a 30 year old WR with only one year on his contract.

The fact that you're so worked up and angry shows you're not putting much analysis into this. You didn't even remember your original offer when responding to braap. Relax, dude. Your trade proposal is silly, it's okay. I like AJ Green too. I'd offer a 4th this year or a 3rd next year.

4th this year(maybe a 3rd with a contract) and a 3rd next year if he plays 12+ games.

My thought is, we send a 4th this year and can get a 3-5 comp if he walks. If he is healthy he is worth 2 mid picks so the extra 3rd.

Interesting. I don't know how the comp picks work, but that's a good hedge if what you're saying came true. But then it would potentially be a 4th for a one year rental. I suppose that's worth it for the possibility of convincing him to stay long term.

True, BUT w/new coaches maybe they'll understand they need to rebuild.

Especially after what Browns have done.

Cincinnati is rebuilding. Don't know why they'd re-sign him to big money since his career will effectively be over by the time they're relevant again. Would assume they'd trade him so they can derive some value from him. But I can easily see them waiting a year, tagging him, and doing a deal with some team in 2020.

That said -- I hope the Niners don't trade for him with the trade comp some have mentioned in here. It's two years of prime AJ Green. That's it. Also, he will need a new deal that will extend past his prime years. This absolutely factors into the trade comp.

I'd offer a 5th rd and nothing less. This guy can't stay on the field and is getting older. I'd want a body cast in return just in case. Too many people here get caught up in the name and not the performance of the player. Eric Berry for example. I'm not trading away anything less than a 5 for an aging and injury prone WR that will be wanting big $$

He's averaging 2.1 missed games per season over 8 seasons in the NFL. The exact same average as Julio.
I would not consider him injury prone.

Let's look at the recent, in his last 3 years he's only played 1 full season. Having serious foot injuries raises a flag going fwd with age. So maybe he hasn't been injury prone throughout his whole career but as of recent,,,yes he is injury prone.
