What would it take to trade for AJ Green?

Witherspoon for green would be a big mistake, imo. How do we replace him? Who takes over for Sherm in a year or two?

I was only offering that as the kind of deal it would take to get Cincy to deal Green. IOW, a deal that favors the Bengals.
I wouldn't mess with the chemistry of this team at all right now. With Sanders on the roster, it gives the young receivers a chance to learn and grow. I don't see enough benefit to adding Green for what it would cost to get him. As you said, we need to be looking down the road a year or two, and trading a talented young CB on an affordable contract is not a good idea.

With the pass rush the defense has, finding CB's shouldn't be too hard. 49ers could dip into free agency if their cap allows them to, next years CB markets looks pretty decent: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/cornerback/
Also next years draft class of CB's look pretty solid too.

No doubt there will be a ton of nice CBs in the second, third, and fourth round of the draft

Im not sure what side id lean on in that trade. But to play devils advocate. Mosely has been filling in surprisingly well.

Bengals aren't moving Green. Owner said as much all offseason and GM has restated it.
You do not trade Spoon for a rental.

Jags owner also said Jalen Ramsey won't be traded. Jon Gruden said Khalil Mack won't be traded. 49ers inquired about Emmanuel Sanders and John Elway said he wasn't available.
I Don't believe anything GMs say about trades.

Those teams don't have an overbearing owner that wants to make the nfl decisions.
Eifert has a better chance of moving.

Well if they get offered a 1 and 2 sure they'll move him.
