Would rather somebody else overpay for his services. He is not a significant upgrade over Garcon or Goodwin IMO and has some butterfingers.
Overpay? He's gonna come pretty cheap actually. And Idk what you were watching but he doesnt have butterfingers. He was the best WR on the jags this season and most consistent.
He is gonna get between 8-10 apy IMO. And he is at best the 3rd option here, would rather have Gabriel.
Also had 8 drops this year.

Sounds like Rapoport said SF would be one of the teams interested in Arob if he doesn't get tagged.
Can't see it happening

Saw an analyst suggest signing Paul Richardson instead. PR at $6M/yr might be a better bargain than A-Rob at $12M - $14M/yr.

Scratch that thought. Just read that Richardson will probably get way more than I suggested.

Tag is $16M for a WR. Hence, that becomes the starting point in any negotiation.

Honestly would much rather sign him instead of Robinson. Don't get me wrong I like Robinson and think he's the much better receiver. But I really don't think you need to break the bank with Richardson. I also think Richardson will fit in just as good as Robinson with his smooth route running.

I'm not against this. But we have to figure out how we are going to get the ball in the end zone. In ATL, with Kyle, it was freeman or Julio. So without an effective run game, we need a WR who can go up in the end zone.

I don't think we will sign him and while I think we should only break the bank for a corner, pass rusher or an offensive lineman in FA..... I really like Allen Robinson a lot. A very good (was on his way to becoming elite) big, physical WR with good speed and route running. He's also a very high character guy, somewhat rare for star WR's. He is also exactly what we are lacking and missing at the WR position, a good, big play making WR who is great in the red zone.
Sounds like Chucky in Oakland has his eyes set on him and the Redskins are targeting him to which will certainly drive up the price with them tending to overspend on guys. I can see him getting 5yrs $50-60 mill. I don't think we will get into that type of bidding war for him. I do see us spending big bucks on a corner though and potentially a pass rusher like Robert Quinn if he becomes available.

Agree. I think Moncrief from Indy is another guy you can get a very reasonable price and would upgrade our WR position

They should. They are on the verge of becoming an elite team. You can't let a really good young plsyer like Robinson get away. He's also a very high character guy which is somewhat of rarity for top WR's. That can't be dismissed and adds to his value

I don't want to even think about a WR right now. We need at least a mid-level corner, guard, and pass rusher. With Foster's idiocy we need linebackers as well.
Jimmy lit it up passing WITHOUT Garcon. Just pretend Garcon is our free agent WR acquisition this off-season.
