Allen Robinson best FA WR

I keep thinking about how much better this dude would be with Jimmy putting the ball where it should be leading the receiver. This dude had killer stats with a garbage qb. I really think he could be a 1300-1600 per year guy with us year in year out.

That's exactly what I thought after reading the article on the main page. I think about the jump Goodwin and company received when Garappolo became the starter and I can only imagine what Robinson would do with us.

OK, fine take Robinson then since Jimmy G is already ready to win.
But, I am not giving up in drafting a legit WR. Is about time the 9ers learn how to coach up top talents.
I'd honestly like to draft a receiver as well. Not only does it save us a ton of cash, but I'm thinking that we will need to be prepared to pay Goodwin next year. While he won't get what Robinson is set to get, that would be a lot of cash tied up in the receiver position. I trust Kyle to find a receiver that can come in immediately and be a number 3 at worse. I'd prefer an immediate starter, but once you exit the first round at receiver, it becomes risky. I like Anthony Miller, but at pick 59, he could be long gone. Maybe we will get lucky and they can find another receiver on a low contract that can come in and potentially start. If it's a quick/fast guy, then we can certainly get away with a person that isn't top tier if our pass protection is top notch.

15M/year coming off an ACL injury? I think the 49ers would be wise to pass on him. Maybe a 1 year prove you are back deal, but that's it.
I say we fill this need elsewhere

They need studs. And they don't grow on trees. Sign him.
I'm tired of stalling out in the red zone. We don't have any size and length.

He has crazy RZ stats.
Jacksonville cannot afford to take a chance on him with their low cap number and numerous other players they must sign. Besides Robinson, they have Marquise Lee and Aaron Colvin that are starters that are UFA. Also Paul Posluzny and Patrick Omameh that will have to be replaced if not re-signed.
Lee and Colvin are clearly the priorities above Robinson. It will come down to who all will be willing to take a chance on his injury.

Garcon has years playing under Shanny and is a 1k receiver himself.
Goodwin and Robinson are different receivers and he offers the speed Shanny covets.
I firmly think Garcon and Goodwin would start A Rob would come in as the 3rd receiver until we phase Garcon out.
Only way we get a #1 like Allen IMO is if we ship out Garcon. Bottom line. I wonder who we could trade him to...Send him back to Washington or Indy
Why would we need to ship out Garcon? He's on the back end of his career, but is still able to contribute. Unless you think his ego wouldn't be able to handle it?

I've already disproved that many pages ago. 2015 he was really good in the red zone. 2016 he was terrible. Real talent is somewhere in between.

So, he was very good one year but no so good the second year. Crazy.
What matters is that he put up some very good numbers in the past with a BAD QB. Is he worth a prove-it contract with a very good QB?

A one year deal sure. But he isn't likely to take a deal like that.
One great, one bad year doesn't equate to "crazy RZ stats." At least not in the way it was meant.

I am not a big fan of the guy, however in fairness, his catch rate is influenced by playing with a really bad QB who was off target much of the time.

His catch rate is worse than Lee and Hurns though.
