Some of you have a weird fascination with tall WRs. Robinson I can understand due to potential. Decker? He's already a slow WR and is on the wrong side of 30. He's already a 3rd option, 500 yard receiver. In a year or two he won't be playable. No thanks.

Beat Marcus Peters for a game winning TD in the playoffs..sure hes on the wring side of 30 but a 2 year deal?

I love Gabriel too in Shannys offense.. Theres several big body under class men coming out, gonna be interesting

That's not realistic. He knows his age, he knows his speed. He'll want a 4 year deal because he knows this is his last chance to cash in. He just did a 1 year prove it deal for $4 million after a terrible 2016. His agent will likely start at 5 years and somewhere in the low-30s and settle on a 3 or 4 year deal at $6-7 million per. That's his market value. I don't want him at his market value.

Oh and he isn't a real redzone guy. Too slow. That's why he only scored 1 TD all year. 1 TD on 11 redzone targets and 0 on 8 targets inside the 10.

2 year deal or bust

Decker would be a cheap option for a 4th receiver. You can't get Julio for 10 bucks and a backup gig.
I like Kendrick Bourne. Why not let him step up and get more touches.

Garcon
Goodwin
Taylor
Bourne

Draft another WR if Robinson and Murphy are gone.

I like him too, but that does't change the fact we need another good WR.

We also are in desperate need of a big red zone target Robinson can fill the void.

Decker and Gabriel and forget about the position for a couple years. Combined, we're looking at no more than $7M for both and we'd have a solid WR Corps...

Garçon, Goodwin, Decker, Taylor, Gabriel

Co-signed. Garcon, Decker, Taylor, Goodwin, Gabriel, Bourne is a solid, inexpensive receiving group for a couple years, letting the rest of the roster to get built up.
Decker = Yuck

Unnecessary use of funds for a guy that old and hes just not good. I don't understand why everyone wants to spend money on mediocrity. Rather just draft some young guys with potential.

Back on topic here. I feel like Robinson is the wide receiver to go after for a few big reasons.

1. He has the size were missing
2. He is not going to command top tier wide out money. I'm hoping we can get him on a deal like Terrell Pryor
3. Upside of a number one that balances out our receiver Corp
4. Allows use of draft to focus on offensive line, pass rush, and CB.
5. We don't need 1500 yards from him. We just need 8 TDs

He's s 10-14 million a season WR. Plays exclusively on the outside where we have good players already and he's coming off an ACL injury. Dropsies, catch %, and questionable route running are his other issues. Someone out there will over pay for his services, I hope it's not us.

1. Expensive, so I'm only willing if on a 1 year prove it deal, or a slightly discounted short term deal.

2. He has a completely different skill set than our other current receivers, and besides, Garcon is 32(?) coming of a pretty serious injury.

3. Back to the prove it deal

4. He definitely struggled in this area in 2016. He tends to body catch when not necessary. However, he has displayed on many occasions his strong hands and ability to catch the ball away from his body under full extension.

5. It's important to remember who has been throwing him the ball. Bottles struggles both with ball placement, and with staring down his receivers and force feeding the ball to receivers that aren't open and have no chance at catching the ball. In 2015, he certainly proved to have the size, athleticism, and body control to win in contested situations.

6. He's actually a pretty decent route runner. He is very fluid and flexible, especially for his size, runs a full route tree, and has some hard cuts and double moves. He can certainly still improve, but I attribute it more to coaching and less to ability since he has really good change of direction ability.

Honestly a 1 year deal is perfect for both sides.. Even if we let him walk or tag him for a year and playing it by ear, possibly trade as well if we get him to sign for a 1 year deal by having his rights to tag

There are many reasons to critique Allen Robinson. His ability to catch the ball is NOT one of them. If you're basing that on his catch % then you've not actually watched his film and it shows.

A critique of any receiver has to include fundamentally his ability to catch the ball. Did you mean criticize?
Robinson is a perfect fit. His catch radius is big. He gets the jump ball and he can stretch the field. He would be a big red zone target. He can be a 8-14 TD type of player. With Jimmy G, who throws a catchable ball almost every time despite only a small sample will help Robinson. Robinson is the #1 choice for FA WR if available.
