He's an outspoken diva in a lot of ways (not T.O. level) and has consistently pouted and given less than his all during games.

His yards per target is 94th out of the 116 WRs with at least 100 targets in the last three seasons. He has multiple teammates above him on that list too.

The team is good and got through 0-9 without pointing fingers. Don't need to introduce selfish players to the locker room.

This. Injuries have worn him down. He can't separate worth a damn anymore. Combined with his headcase issues and age I'll take a hard pass. If you're going to bring in a veteran on the decline, bring in a good character guy who builds the locker room character.
Valid point Phoenix ! Do you have any other suggestions on who you would like to see the 49ers pursue at wide receiver in free agency?

I agree with this 100%.

WR seems to be the position getting the most focus this week from writers, and NFL Network has it listed as our #1 need, which is pretty much BS. WRs are a really fun position to watch and speculate about, but I really don't see our team putting too much capital into free agent wide outs this off season. I fully expect one or two big additions to either CB, OL, or LEO, and some smart 2nd/3rd tier kind of additions elsewhere.

As for Dez, yeah, I would pass on that one for the reasons Phoenix listed above. For fans, it's pretty easy to see a player like him, look at his past production, and develop itchy trigger fingers, but Lynch and Kyle seem to really value the character of their locker room, and Bryant does not appear to match the culture they're building at all.

And he should say hell no. He's set to make 12.5 mil next year. Even with the recent struggles , some team would pay him more than that. But cowboys expect him to take less lol

Not Phoenix but I'll throw in three guys I like that I believe will actually get to the market:

Eric Decker - was very productive in Denver and one good year with the Jets. Injuries hit and his production went down. Part of that was bad QB play although McCown was not bad this past season. Decker is 30, 6'3"/215. Good possession guy over the middle...but we have some of that with Garcon.

Donte Moncrief - Big-time potential coming out of college but never hit it in Indy. Blame some of it on QB play that might be remedied in a new environment with a much better offensive scheme. 24, 6'2"/215.

Jordan Matthews - 26, 6'2"/212, bad passing situation in Buffalo. New environment would help him get back up to speed.

Maybe-

Paul Richardson - 26, 6,1"/185, burner speed but never did much in Seattle

All of these guys will be coming out of bad passing offenses and looking to re-start/launch their careers with a good QB and scheme = 49ers.

NOTE: I don't even consider Robinson (will get tagged) and Landry (not a need fit and very expensive). I'm looking for RZ help and depth behind Garcon.

There really isn't a true #1 on the market this season.

These seem like very realistic targets. I'd be particularly interested in Moncrief.

Very well stated Phoenix!

Agreed. Don't want him messing with our team chemistry

I'd like Decker and Gabriel but I think I rather go Gabriel and a bigger body in the draft we can groom.
I like Decker and Moncrief. I agree we could add either one to give us more experience and depth at WR. And a quarterback like Jimmy G. could elevate their talents. Good call. I like it!

please god, lord, baby Jesus, allah, etc etc 49ers DO NOT SIGN THIS ABSOULTE WASTE OF SPACE
Dez could easily, for three years max, be that temporary big body WR the Niners need. The only concern is convincing Dez that he "ant" worth what he think he is. Dez would give the Niners time to find thier future receivers just like Garcon is. Of course if he came at the right price.
There is now way the current FO signs him on, drop it please.
He doesn't separate and he's a selfish player. Not really the guy I envision as a KS WR.

Not worth the money or trouble IMO
