I'm a season ticket holder for the Utes and was beyond ecstatic over this pick. Dude is FAST. Very rarely gets caught from behind.

His speed causes bad tackling angles. He's not ultra fast but he is definitely faster than the average NFL RB.

He ran a 4.37 40 at his pro day...is that not fast to you?

Hyde better be concerned because this kid is going to take his job.

Then again, it won't be hard for Williams to usurp once Hyde tears his labia in Week 4 by refusing to go down when he's not getting anymore positive yardage.

It was 4.41 actually, and it was on the Ute's site.

Regardless of any weakness he has (real or perceived), there is no doubt he is a HR threat. I don't need a stop watch to tell me that. Just one look at his highlight package shows you all you need to know.

Maybe he got his suit from this guy?

Much faster than Hyde's 4.66 that has to be slower now with the injuries and hits he's taken since coming into the league.

Damn he has a second gear! So happy we're done with Davis and have plenty of options for quality #3.

This cat is going to end up being better than Hyde.

Kyle likes both styles of runners in his offense. We won't be running a one back set here. He'll have his power and his quickness/speed just like in Atlanta with Freeman and Coleman.

My early guess as to the roles:

RB1: Carlos Hyde; Kapri Bibbs
RB2: Joe Williams; Matt Breida

All 25 years old and younger. Bibbs also adds depth as a returner. Breida is a 95th percentile SPARQ athlete.
