Wilhoit got chewed out a few times last game.
Came in here to post this.
I remember after a drive where we gave up a couple 3rd down conversions Tomsula was screaming at him

Lol! the trade is fine. I'm no fan of Baalke right now but Easton was probably brought in for depth. Kilgore will be back soon so Easton was probably going to be cut anyways. We probably got a better player because Hodges might actually play for us.
And yeah don't know what this means for wilhiote or other LB's. They LB's have struggled in coverage.

I'm all for adding talent when the opportunity arises. We need a center/guard, but that doens't mean we should be willing to pick up another position if it could help the team.

Which is annoying because I didn't see Tomsula scream at Kap for f**king up or anyone of the line for f**king up badly. Solid coaching there

Looney is still out there, Dillon Farrell is on the Titans PS. Unless there is another move coming for a center.

You don't carry 5 ILB and only 8 OL
Skov gets waived
Tiller gets promoted to 53 from PS would be my guess

Wilhoit stinks in coverage and isn't that great in against the run.

Some good news about this guy, he came from linebacker U and we have pretty good history with their guys
Some stuff about him from his combine website-
Strengths: Former safety with short-area quickness to handle coverage responsibilities on multiple levels. Stays with running backs and tight ends in man coverage, comes off one target in zone to lay a hit on the underneath route. Flashes downhill speed to wrap up ballcarriers or force them into decisions. Active hands when engaged, willing to be physical. Works through traffic to the ball in tight quarters. Stays with receivers on short outs, can knock away the pass without interfering.
Weaknesses: Has only average bulk and length to take on NFL-sized linemen and tight ends. Does not consistently take advantage of interception opportunities. Lunges and fail to break down in the open field at times so more elusive ballcarriers can avoid him. Can be fooled on misdirection plays. Needs to prove himself a capable blitzer, doesn't beat blocks consistently to force quarterbacks into making throws. Will get locked onto blocks, doesn't always play with proper leverage.
Anyone else think we might play him at safety?

I guess Wilhote was too expensive for Yorks budget and limited cap space...

Hodges and a 6th? Well done, Baalke.
Since you're already convinced this is a terrible trade.....please give me your scouting report on Hodges. You must follow him closely to have such a strong opinion already.
Lol huh? He's complimenting the trade
Yea I read that one wrong....my apologies. Was just used to everyone saying how bad of a trade this is without even knowing much about Hodges.
Gotcha. And my original post wasn't slamming the trade per se, just me being a bitter fan
