Nnamdi Asomugha was a 49er

Nnamdi from what we've seen so far, is only going to get better. Takes time to get into shape, build up energy and confidence, and get back into the flow of the game. I think in a few weeks we'll see that we actually have some depth at CB. Nnamdi playing good and Cox backing up is better than what most teams could hope for. Plus our DL wont have them covering for too long anyway.
Matt Maiocco doesn't think Nnamdi will get the #3 CB job, and will only be used sparingly against bigger WRs. Big mistake IMO......................

Unless that means Cox is getting the spot, because with a year of football back under his belt and in our system, I think he makes an outstanding nickel CB. Personally, I like the rotation of him and Nnamdi in the nickel. Keep them both fresh and play the match-ups to each player's strength.

Starters
1. Rogers
2. Brown

Nickel
3. Cox/Asomugha

Dime/ST
4. Brock
5. Morris

* Wright joins dime package when he's activated, Morris waived and tried to sign on the PS.

interesting. i've heard reports that they really like the way T Brock has been playing. we all know Cox is also playing lights out.

i still think Cox is going to start for us in '14 because NA and Brown will be too expensive to re-sign.
They keep asmugha and Brock after the way the secondary fell apart last year

i would like to think a improved pass rush and better depth with the front 7 will help to prevent a repeat performance of our keystone kops comedy corps in regards to the secondary play many times last year
They just showed him on Channel 5 -- his face is all broken out

Is he juicing?

Nah...Kerry Washington been sitting on his face since the wedding. It'll heal.

Oh right, she must have a yeast infection or a bad pH imbalance
Another great game by Asomugha and I think it is official he will be our nickle back. His jam was on point today and he was PUNISHING WRs.
He played fine and we'll see him roughly handle WR all season.

I'd still hit it
I didn't even know that he played today he was blanketing that good. That and the Vikings really don't pass that much.
No news is good news...hope he sticks around for a few years
