Nnamdi Asomugha was a 49er

I'd hold off on celebrating. He has to make the team and he has to beat out a lot of competition.

Low risk, high reward. I bet we add another DB in the third like honeybadger and we can finally get Brock off the field completely.

He did nothing in Philly, and I doubt the 49ers are going to play him the exact same way Oakland did. Plus, Oakland had an absolute nobody at the other CB position, so even being a decent CB would have greatly reduced his targets. I may have to go post on the 49ers Web Zone with his Pro Football Focus stats.LOL, Nnamdi Asomugah ranked 101st out of the 113 CBs to see at least 25% of snaps last year in the NFL. That is not just bad, that is horrible. For pass coverage specifically, he's 103rd. Pathetic.

Who cares what that dude thinks. Biggest homer ever. Even for a Seahawks fan, and that's saying quite a bit.

I just thought it was funny, since he DID actually post those stats over here. It amazes me how much Seahags fans rely on stats to prove their teams CLEAR superiority to the 49ers.

Stats are for losers

Let's let the Seahags have the drug using DBs ... mmkay? Thanks!

Nice Deal, I hope he stays healthy and fits in and is effective & productive.
Yeah, 1.35 from us for one year. Can't beat that with a stick. I think he'll shine with us. He plays best in press coverage, and V. Fangio will play a lot of that with him.

Well If i were the 49ers, I'd Let Nnamdi compete for starting position as well as Culliver, and see what they can do, because honestly, i feel like T. Brown is a little overrated, he gets beat a lot, and Rogers would be a clutch Nickel or Slot Corner.

But in No way are we cutting Brock when we jus resigned him to i believe a 3 year deal, So if anything it'd be Cox, but i most likely see them keeping all the Corners we have.

IF anything we could cut Rogers save a few mil, Let Nnamdi and T. Brown start and have culliver at slot or Nickel. Point is we have options now on CB, the only real hole now is the damn FS position. I dno wat Harbaugh sees Craig Dahl, but so far im not Feelin him as a starter at FS,

Hoping our first pick of the draft if we don't trade it is a Safety.

Brock signed a one-year tender. Not sure if any of that money is guaranteed. He's a good special teams player, but he'll be fighting for a job along with Cox.

"I doubt the 49ers are going to play him the exact same way Oakland did."
-- "He doubts it". So basically, he's declaring it to be true based upon nothing. Hmm, I guess he really IS a Seahawks fan.

"Oakland had an absolute nobody at the other CB position, so even being a decent CB would have greatly reduced his targets."
-- Wow. Again, the supposition is that Asomugha had good cumulative stats with Oakland, but not good per-pass stats. Based upon, again, nothing. Again, he has solidified his status as die hard Seahawks fan. This man obviously bleeds, uh, neon puke green ooze (?).

The fact is, Asomugha was "awesome" with his per-pass stats with Oakland. They didn't throw it to him because he was so darn good, they were afraid to throw it to him. It's not like this is ancient history. It was only a couple years ago.

But if you have the mind of a goldfish (Seahawks fans), then I guess five minutes ago is ancient history. A history to not only be forgotten, but to become distorted into folklore and fantasy through the eons (minutes).

Signing of Asomugha is a further indication 49ers will trade up in the draft. Don't have needs and too many picks
