Careful. Don't show joy, it'll upset the trolls.

You know they can smell it up to a mile away; two miles down wind.

Wait wait wait..he didn't play well in PHI??!
Whitner talking about nnamdi right now on NFL network
In philly nnamdi was in a atmosphere that set him up for failure . The secondary could make mistakes and no one was held accountable . The whole team was lazy not only on the feild but in the film room . Nnamdi's numbers reflect not only on himself but on awhole philly organization and staff . Now in niner land we do things differently and nnamdi will without question benefit from our coaches and schemes . We will do what philly did not .. and thats set him up in a situation to succeed . We got him at a great price when his ceiling could be so high . Great job niners !

He providesb great depth, experience, and competition. The roster is going to be so stacked after the draft.

Exactly....plus, different scheme, different talent around him and different coaching staff. Sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery to up their game, and we don't need him to play at a pro-bowl level to get value out of him. This is a low-risk, potential high reward signing.

" The 31-year-old bottomed out by allowing an eye-popping 120.6 passer rating on throws in his territory last season, according to Pro Football Focus."

We are in trouble.

We guaranteed him no money and he's not guaranteed to start. How the f**k are we ion trouble?

Donte Whitner said he believes Nnamdi has a lot left in the tank. Said Philadelphia ran a lot of zone and in SF they run man about 70 percent of the time, so it'll allow nnamdi to use those long arms and play like how he did in Oakland.

Seems like we will keep 6 CBs now. Brown, Culliver, Rogers, Nnamdi, Cox, Brock. Some might say we will cut Brock or replace him with a rookie but seems unlikely after we just tendered and signed him. He had 16 ST tackles last year which is tied for 10th in the entire league and #1 on our team. If we keep him Cox probably has to sit because doubt we have all 6 active. Doesn't seem like room for a rookie anymore... I still kind of want to draft someone high because everyone other than Rogers and Culliver is a FA after this year and Rogers will probably be cut.

Well If i were the 49ers, I'd Let Nnamdi compete for starting position as well as Culliver, and see what they can do, because honestly, i feel like T. Brown is a little overrated, he gets beat a lot, and Rogers would be a clutch Nickel or Slot Corner.

But in No way are we cutting Brock when we jus resigned him to i believe a 3 year deal, So if anything it'd be Cox, but i most likely see them keeping all the Corners we have.

IF anything we could cut Rogers save a few mil, Let Nnamdi and T. Brown start and have culliver at slot or Nickel. Point is we have options now on CB, the only real hole now is the damn FS position. I dno wat Harbaugh sees Craig Dahl, but so far im not Feelin him as a starter at FS,

Hoping our first pick of the draft if we don't trade it is a Safety.

He did nothing in Philly, and I doubt the 49ers are going to play him the exact same way Oakland did. Plus, Oakland had an absolute nobody at the other CB position, so even being a decent CB would have greatly reduced his targets. I may have to go post on the 49ers Web Zone with his Pro Football Focus stats.LOL, Nnamdi Asomugah ranked 101st out of the 113 CBs to see at least 25% of snaps last year in the NFL. That is not just bad, that is horrible. For pass coverage specifically, he's 103rd. Pathetic.

fans that judge players for one sole years performance don't know anything about the NFL.

"Throws in his territory". "Territory", meaning a ZONE.

Notice they didn't say, "Players he was covering"?
He was a successful man-to-man corner, playing in a scheme devised by a former O-line coach, who has since been fired for incompetence.
