Elvis Dumervil

I'm not gonna be surprised at all if we resign him for cheaper. Lynch left the door open for that in his statement about Elvis

Agree. I'm sure they wanted to let Elvis have opportunities along with themselves in FA & the draft

the way he played last year in limited time. he will not last long on the open market
I think Freeney is out there, too.
Suspect he'll be back
Looking at the wasteland of FA edge rushers, I can only guess that Lynch must be pretty confident in some trade talks to let Doom go. No way we head into the draft without at least adding a situational rusher to replace Doom.

Yup. Maybe there's already a wink wink deal for later
Bring the man back, already.

The further we move into the preseason the more interest he's going to gain from other teams. Time to pull that trigger.
Bring him in (if no other moves such as a trade for Ray, Fowler, etc.). In addition to stepping in and instantly being the team's best pass rusher, he also can continue mentoring the younger guys with tricks of the trade he's learned.

The fact that fans are clamoring for him to be resigned means shannylynch failed this off season to address the position.

Just announced his retirement, I guess that option is off the table.

Well, maybe so, but throw enough money at him he might un-retire. Now, whether he'd be any good or beat out any of the current edge rusher - that remains to be seen if he ever does play again.
