He's going to be released very soon, likely after the Broncos sign Dwight Freeney. I say we make a run at him. VERY good pass rusher would be ideal rotational edge rusher/nickel rusher. Can you imagine a package with dumerville and brooks at the ends, and aldon and justin/mcdonald on the inside? (i say this because aldon has a lot of experience inside at mizzou) Regardless, I dont think we would have to break the bank either. He's not exactly young (29) and shouldnt command that large of a contract imo

Elvis is a badass.

I'm VERY happy with Aldon and Ahmad as our starters, but I would still love to see Elvis as a 9er.

I would love to have him but he is not taking a pay cut in Denver. So, why would he come to us at a cheaper price....

He is a very good pass rusher but is just not heavy enough to defend the run very well. Hence his pay is not commensurate with his production. Until we know for sure that Aldon Smith can defend the run without Justin Smith inside "protecting" him, I don't want to pay Dumervil even a largely reduced salary. Dumervil is grossly overpaid for what he does. Even $8MILLION for a situational pass rusher is too much money.

For that kind of money sign SEYMOUR and kick JUSTIN SMITH to the outside...SMITH,DORSEY SEYMOUR,SMITH....we also need to get interior pass rush the outside guys get around the corner but when smith got hurt we had no inside push Brady,Ryan,Flacco killed us just stepping up in the pocket and launcjing it.....for yeah TOUCHDOWNS...

Any further news on this? Elvis is an upgrade over Brooks in my opinion. He and Smith would be a formidable pair of rush LBs.

No. At least John Clayton said that there was very little chance of Dumervil returning to the Broncos.
