Youth movement. If Dumervil is only a 3rd down pass rush specialist, he offers no upside on special teams. Expect a combo of a FA addition and two draft additions - early round and a late round to compete with Pita.

Curry and Landry would be my targeted additions. And Marsh and Pita (or the late rd rookie) would be rotational pieces along with primary ST unit contributors.

I fully expect us to take a pass rusher first in the draft, but dumping Dumervil doesn't make a lot of sense. He was our best pass rusher.

I can only assume the team thought Marsh could replicate his production with equal snaps. Was hoping we'd get another good year out of Elvis.

Has to be a trade in the works. Only way this makes sense is adding a pass rusher via trade and taking Landry @ 9 or trade down slot. Pass rush was ass last year and getting rid of the best rusher on the team in March? Something is up.

If we had some up and coming pass rushers ok. But this is our weakest position and very important. He was the only guy to have a consistent pass rush.

monday is going to be a very interesting day. I think they already got commitments from potential LEO free agents to come to San Fran, otherwise they probably would not have let Doom go. We shall see.
