Randy Moss thread

Even if Moss becomes disgruntled at some point... so what? Harbaugh and Baalke will dump him as or more quickly than we did Braylon. As long as we are not putting all our eggs in the Moss basket in regards to receiving weapons? This works just fine for me.

i agree. if this is the only move we make, i'll be very nervous and upset.

But FA hasn't even started and the draft is still weeks away and we're already going to work fixing the biggest need on this team, so I'm all-in on this move.
Anyone concerned about Moss disrupting the locker room or anything like that should look no further than Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis, and Frank Gore. This is their team, period. There is no way they allow anything like that too happen. Not to mention Jim Harbaugh.

Moss is a considerable upgrade even at his age! Great signing and I'm getting that Jersey even if he's only here one year. Moss is one of the all time greats and I'm proud to have him here!!

yes, our coach is not like moss used to have with dennis green and whoever he had in oakland, they let the inmates run the asylum, esp that idiot green
I've never been a fan of guys with a personality like his, but on a one year deal, with a presumably reasonable salary? No brainer. If he acts like a knucklehead, we cut him the same way we cut Braylon. If he doesn't act up, it's a steal.

They overpaid for a bad attitude quitter.
I just hope we get to a deal with Morgan.

If Moss does not put up big numbers, he WILL start to tear the locker room apart. That is a %100 GUARANTEE. I don't care how sincere he sounds when BS'ing to Harbalke. He is an intelligent person. I'm sure he knows how to put on a show and say all the right things at the right time.
But people are like tea bags, only when the water gets hot, do you know what you really have.

If Moss does not put up numbers, he'll make Braylon Edwards and Michael Crabtree look like the President and CEO of the "Alex Smith fan club".
Yeah, this is my problem with this signing. A person has only so much "change" in them before pressure or discomfort forces the "real you" to re-surface. And as I said last night this cannot be the long term answer for the 49ers. Up to this point all indications, at least from what I could tell, pointed to Baalke & Co. building for long term success. I fail to see how this helps long term. I'd feel a lot better about this if we made a serious push for Colston, for example, and re-signed Morgan (maybe they want too much money too?). Cheap and safe doesn't mean it's the best move. I have to believe that this isn't the extent of our WR FA moves. I have to believe that we are going to sign a much younger WR off the street with a bigger upside. I'm starting to have serious concerns but I want to give Baalke & Co. the benefit of the doubt and see how things look after the draft and free agency before I voice them.

I hope to God you are wrong. Sign Moss but let Morgan go? I cannot see how that helps us at all.

lol i'm sure Harbs and Baalke know a 35yo WR is not a long term solution. Moss was brought here to stretch the field and open up VD and Crabs. he is also going to be the teams best red zone threat. something that was a major problem last year.
