06-08 the 9ers were aggressive in free agency and it never panned out.
The only big-time contracts we handed out were to Clements and Justin Smith. We would have been a lot worse without them, especially Smith.

Plus, Jonas Jennings did great when he was healthy in 2006. He was a big part of the O-Line next to Larry Allen when the O-Line was actually our strength. He fell off shortly after, though.
Yeah, he was good when healthy. Problem was, he had a rep for being a p***y when we signed him.

Nate got burned often, not as bad as antonio langham. Nate could tackle and made some hits. But overall, for what we paid for him, a disappointment
