Steal for Chicago.
They needed a big WR and a redzone target. Hester is much more dangerous out of the slot.

And for Bears WR coach Darryl Drake at Texas.

This is a tremendous deal for Chicago and anyone saying, "Who cares, he sucks" clearly doesn't understand the talent boost that Williams brings to that team.
Williams is great as a featured WR, he just did not fit in Dallas at all. Just didn't work out. Roy is still a good receiver and with Forte running and Hester and Knox to stretch the field and take pressure off, with Martz knowing how to use Roy well, and with Cutler at QB -- the pieces are all there for the success of Williams, and the Bears offense.

Isn't Marinelli there with Martz in Chicago? Makes sense for Williams if it does. Perhaps Williams can prove Chicago isn't where all WRs go to commit career suicide.

I believe Marinelli is the Bears' D-line coach.
