Only thing that makes me not get too excited about this is Kruetz has said he wants to stay in Chicago

Does signing Wragge have any effect here? I hope not.

Probably sign that Kruetz is staying put.

Having a leader and mentor on the o-line would be awesome. Maybe Rachal and Davis could learn a thing or two from him

He could help everyone on our line. I don't think signing Wragge means we don't go after Kruetz either. Wragge is a solid bench guy, who offers a lot of versatility.

Kruetz is a downgrade from Baas (can't believe I'm saying that). But the guy has been on the downside of his career for years now. Save the cap space if you can and sign a cheaper guy.

In my opinion, If we sign Olin Kreutz, I get the feeling we'll be looking for a smaller, more agile offensive line.

Kinda tough to do that when you have guys like Iupati and Davis on the line.

True, but I've heard that a few of the guys (like Adam Snyder) have cut weight.

Sounds a little desperate to me. Too bad Baas slipped away.

Kreutz is solid, but we need to look at the options here.
Snyder can play center and has been practicing there. I think he could do well. We DO have the OPTION of signing a top level guard to play in front of the horrid Rachal. There are a LOT of good guards still out there.
Centers available: Goodwin (Saints), O'Hara (Giants).
Guards available: Spitz (Packers), Dahl (Falcons), Blalock (Falcons), Colledge (Packers), Joseph (Buccaneers), Seubert (Giants), Shawn Andrews (Giants).
