a judge told owens his career is over in court. he was in there trying to get his child support payments lowered cuz he said he was broke, the judge told him to go to the arena league!! must have been fun to hear a judge say that to owens in court. i for one feel no sorrow for him. He made his bed and burned his bridges
Good riddance - I hope I never hear his name again. he's a scumbag. Man enough to have kids but not man enough to take care of them.
WHOOOO'S T.O GONNA SIGN WITH? NOOOOOOOOOOBODY!!!!!

I didn't think I could feel sorry for T.O. but at this point I think I do. He's broke and in denial about his playing ability. Never liked him but .
Still dont understand how people can say this dude's career is over, and he is in denial about his ability.

Yes he is coming off of a major injury....but he was VERY productive the last few years of his career....with SUB PAR quarterbacks. Dont know how anyone could make that statement as if it was anything that held more water than a guess.

No one knows if TO is done. If given the opportunity, who knows if he will be able to produce or not. If I had a GUESS, I wouldnt count TO out. He's been counted out his whole career, and has always delivered.
This dude had crash landing all over him...he's done

Seriously how do these athletes go broke? I'm thinking of Owens contracts since he signed with the Eagles, and it's just crazy to think he really has nothing left today...

what do you mean no one knows if TO is done?

He had zero receptions and zero yards this year!!!! That is a pretty good sign you are done if I have ever seen one

Family, friends, entourage, drugs, cars; this is why Scrooge stayed rich and never went to the poor house.

It's sad but true. Pisses me off. The rest of us make maybe a 10th of what they make and probably save way more and are still probably one or two emergencies/car break downs/health issues away from being flat broke.

Dude, just give me the ROOKIE MINIMUM for 3 years and I'll turn that into millions later down the road. The problem with these athletes is they get "Custom Lines of Credit" from major and local banks. These custom lines are written by private bankers who've seen their contract, know who they are, etc. So, let's use Andrew Luck as an example. He can go into a bank and they'll literally give him a 5 million dollar line of credit at his disposal before he's stepped FOOT on a field knowing it will most likely get paid off or secured somehow. Problem with this: these athletes RELY on these lines of credit and max them out. When they sign their "5 year 25 mil" contract...they get paid weekly and, as we all know, it's not like they get the 5 mil/year...as it's usually back loaded, incentive based, etc. So really they're getting maybe 900k the first year and out of that, they have to pay "payments" on whatever they've used on this line of credit (usually over a million based on what I've seen). Most of these guys stop playing but the line of credit is still there and money goes and goes and goes and now they're literally upside down millions of dollars even though they may have a million in the bank. All it takes to be broke is having more debt than you can handle...which is usually the case with 90% of these guys. They were never taught how to manage money and now all of a sudden, before they receive a penny from their contract, they have access to (fake) dollars...and millions of it at that.

Agreed. Heck, if someone handed me $100K, I'd be able to live comfortably with little financial worry for at least the next 4 years.
...the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.

Owens was a talent but this prove he is a side show clown now. Indoor League too. Not even the Arena League wanted this guy. He should save a spot for his boy Ochocinco because unless he has a breakout performance in the rest of the playoffs, he'll be needing a job soon too.
