the rest of our needs will be from resigning our own players Goldson, Bass, RayMac, Alex etc
I dont want spikes on this team anymore
why dont you want spikes anymore?
I think he has another good year in him. He's good against the run and last year, played surprisingly well against the pass.

i think we should resign lawson
lawson and aldon smith/brooks as OLB will be dangerous manny lawson i think has the most pressures and almost sacks on our team and is hands down the best cover LB on our team and is also great against the run and a good tackler
we also should sign TKO and resign goldson i think mays needs another year before he can start (reggie smith can start at SS or FS)
apart from that i want one CB out of these
namdi
charles rodgers
jonathan joeseph
ike taylor
rashard marshall

Baalke even stated either today or yesterday the team wasn't going to be major players, but if they could add a player that would help the team they'd do it. I see us just dealing with our own players and possibly adding a marginal veteran QB to back up Smith/CK

You know major players just means we aint going to be spend happy. We have plenty of Fa's that we need to resign 1st then from there determine where we are. Going out and getting a 3 QB and maybe another cb would be fine without having to be Major. Just understand we have to spend money period because of the CB agreement which i like but hopefully that's 1st used to keep Franklin and Goodson. grab Namdi and life would be perfect. we may see a Center come in. also.

I like someone who mentioned Travaris Jackson as an option at QB, he counts as a veteran doesn't he? Would be a good pick up...

I hope we go after Mathias Kiwanuka. Him and Smith as pass-rushers will hopefully take care of our pass-rush issues for the next 5-6 years. Kiwanuka is a damn good pass-rusher and is a misfit as OLB in 4-3 with the Giants.
James Jones at WR will be a pretty good pick-up also. He is very talented young WR who has been playing behind Driver and Jennings in GB.
Of course, we need a CB as well. A lot of options there.

I'll just throw out some of the better UDFA's. They should go like quick once the deal gets signed so I hope we are ready. A lot of good players out there. Hopefully one of these guys ends up on the roster or at least practice squad.
QB:
Pat Devlin
Scott Tolzien
Adam Froman
Taylor Potts
FB:
Henry Hynoski
WR:
Terrance Toliver
Ricardo Lockette
Dane Sanzenbacher
DeAndre Brown
Jeff Maehl
OL:
Tim Barnes - C
Jake Kirkpatrick - C
Zach Hurd - G
Derek Hall - G/T
Kris O'Dowd - C
Zane Taylor - C/G
Chase Beeler - C/G
3-4 NT:
Ian Williams
Anthony Gray
3-4 LB:
Alex Wujciak, ILB
Mark Herzlich, ILB/OLB
Steven Friday, OLB
Thomas Keiser, OLB
CB:
Kendrick Burney
S:
Deunta Williams
Joe Lefeged
DeAndre McDaniel
Jeron Johnson
I like a lot of these guys but I really think we might only sign Froman, Beeler and Hall/Keiser.
I'd keep the guys you suggested, then add Hynoski(FB), Locket (WR), and either of the NT's...
hynoski is a beast with hands, hard-worker, definitely could help us on special teams and some on offense....think peyton hillis type, just not as good

MM indicated that he thought Richard Marshall would be a likely target. I'd be cool w/Marshall and Mebane as vet FAs. If we can't keep Manny, it could be worth a call to inquire as to Matthias Kiwanuka's price. He does a decent job getting after the QB from DE, and he played LB on passing downs when the Giants had Tuck, Osi, and Strahan. That should make for a relatively easy transition to 3-4 OLB. Goldson might be worth the money this year, since the free agent safeties are not impressive.

Of course, this also means his price will be bid up by any teams in need of a safety. Same dynamic as with A. Franklin.

Is Matthias Kiwanuka a free agent or is he on the trading block?
