we need a vet to back up Alex Smith

Carson Palmer? not really a backup though!

If you just want a Vet Tavaris Jackson is out there. the vikes ran some form of the WCo.

I want Peyton to back up Alex

I dont think he could beat colin kaepernick out for the backup role

Will command a big contract and he'll get it from the highest bidder no doubt. I'd target like this:

1. J. Joseph
2. Richard Marshall
3. Carlos Rogers
4. Ike Taylor

If not, I'd take my chances with what's on the roster and look to make a splash next year when this CBA crap is outta the way.

I agree - one of those 4 would be good!
and ILB, CB, FB, and OLine is what we will target in FA i think

the rest of our needs will be from resigning our own players Goldson, Bass, RayMac, Alex etc

I dont want spikes on this team anymore
namdi would have to take a huge paycut to come here

i want in this order

1. namdi
2. joeseph
3. Marshall (forgot first neame but guy from panthers)
4. charles rodgers
5. ike talor
would love to land

Maehl and Mark Herzlich

from the UDFA pool

Chad Greenway, cut Parys. Start Greenway/aldon smith = championship

why would you cut a solid veteran with starting experience when you only have to pay him 1.2 mil a year

Parys Haralson is not solid

Which of our outside linebackers under contract is better suited to start in his place? Lawson will be gone, good chance Laboy is gone too. That leaves us with Brooks and Gibson, neither have any starting experience or have proven anything.

He's been able to hold on to his starting job and has been one of our better OLBs for a few years. When guys like that are under contract with reasonable salaries you don't just cut them outright it makes no sense and helps no one involved.

anyone but Parys
Id definitely pick Brooks over Haralson and I'd probably take Gibson too. Gibson still has potential, Parys is proven to be garbage and he wont get any better. he had one decent year

He has absolutely 0 passrush skills

None of our outside linebackers have ever had more than 7 sacks in a season accept Haralson who had 8 once. I don't see how Haralson has proven he's garbage and you believe in Gibson who's never even played a snap. If Haralson has 0 passrush skills then Manny Lawson has negative passrush skills
i just want us to go after 1 major fa and thats joseph, we desperately need cb help. i know were not gonna give out the money asomugha willl command and compete in a bidding war with other teams

Lance Moore would be a nice speedy WR for the offense.

If the Saints are stupid enough to give him the desire to walk with a low-ball offer, SF would be very fortunate to get him. I have wanted Moore on this team for a couple of years now. He would easily be our best (most proven) wide receiver. Great route runner, rarely drops a thing, and can work the middle of the field, no prob.

Exactly and he can return punts. He's just a good football player. I'm sure the Saints will attempt to retain him.

Most definitely... Brees absolutely LOVES him. I can see why Lance may want to venture out and be more of a needed weapon for some team. The Saints have a ton of weapons to spread the ball to, and they may not want to spread the appropriate money to Lance. Hard to say what he will do.
As usual we are going to probably ignore the CB position....

Were idiots if we don't make a play for Jonathin Joeseph.. young and very good

Sounds like we're going to ignore a lot of things. Baalke basically hinted don't expect much from FA. We're going to stink this season.

I wish I knew what CBs and OL Baalke watched last year because it apparently wasn't ours
