Julian Peterson has been cut

Hell yeah! I could bust his jersey out of the back of my closet!

My petersen jersey is in the back of my closet with owens rice and craig. But i think petersen is still better than haralson and brooks. He is still great at sacking the qb but doubt he would return.
I don't think he or Andre Carter are worth signing unless they were coming in for a role similar to what Laboy played this last year for very cheap otherwise no thank you. I want youth at OLB/DE before some washed up veterans getting cut by the Lions and Skins.

So I guess rushing the passer is not something you want to see happen.

1 sack in 2010, not exactly a sack machine.
Wish we had him 5 years ago.

We did.

Ten years ago then.

10 sacks isn't a "sack machine," but it is a nice number. That was a different scheme and he didn't fair very well when we put him in a 3-4, which is part of the reason they let him walk in the first place.

he's old (32) but last year he started 15 games and had 83 tackles.. sounds like he could still contribute somewhere

4-3 OLB, and that's about it. If people complain so much about Lawson why do we want an over the hill version of Manny. He USED to be a stud, so did Joey Porter. He only got 1 sack last year behind Vanden Bosch, Avril, Suh and Corey Williams in a 4-3... how is he gonna be better in our 3-4 when there is an additional blocker to account for him?
