Just saw on ESPN and PFT that Bob Sanders was cut by the Colts. I would really like to see him replace Goldson and keep Smith & Mays as depth. If he signs an incentive laden deal; he could be a great find for Fangio's Defense.

No thanks. Dude's played like 2 games a year for the past 3 years. He just can't seem to ever stay healthy.

Sanders was a guy who was just too small to play the way he did. Injuries were inevitable.
Sanders' history is why Goldson should never be a SS - similar build who would likely break down the same way Sanders has.

Sometimes you need to take a risk to get the great reward. The point is that Sanders is a true playmaker in the league (even in only 9 of the last 39 games) and Goldson had 1 turnover last year??
If we're looking to Reggie Smith & Mays for the future anyway, I would MUCH rather put an incentive rich deal for Sanders. He has way more range and closing speed than Goldson, but yes there is a risk with injuries.
I'm not walking around screaming that we HAVE to sign this guy. I'm just saying I would like the move; and would approve of him coming on board MORE than Goldson staying.

Sanders is too small, and that's why his body is breaking down. What's the point of picking him up if all he's going to do the majority of the time is being on the sidelines being hurt.
No thanks.

On another level, safeties now need to be better cover guys than 5 years ago. Goldson isn't. Sanders was more known for run support than ball hawking although he did create turnovers when fully healthy.
