BTW, amazing story about your co-worker, I applaud him taking care of all those children. I figure the average guy wouldn't work so hard to do that.

You actually applaud someone for having 11 kids?! Regardless of whether or not he's taking care of them.

You know, we don't live in a fishbowl. Over population is a global PROBLEM. And I seriously doubt, even if it wasn't, that that particular employee's contributions were in any way enhancing the gene pool.

Anyway this is seriouly off topic . . . but applause? That's just silly.

I didn't "applaud" him for having 11 kids. I "applaud" him for taking care of all of them according to 49erRider. Believe it or not, there is a difference between the two.
do any of you ever think why they would let him go??

b/c he sucks

i'm with you. he's not that great as a cover cb. somehting has happened since his last yr as a charger. hmmmmm maybe it's his bad attitude

If you applauded everybody that did what they were supposed to, your hand would probably hurt. Maybe you should raise your standards.

Hmm...or maybe you should lower your expectations in thinking everyone actually did the right thing.

After posting many replies, I still say skip AC. There's at least two CBs we could draft with our #7 overall pick. Then, if Clements restructures his contract, they would be our two starters (demote Spencer, see: Panthers and Rams games). But if Clements is released, then I'd be fine with that, too...he's been overpaid for a while now and karma came back to him when WRs are punching the ball from his hands for a change.

The more I think of it, the more of a mess I realize our secondary has become. When I watched the SB, Steelers blitzed nearly 60% yet Rodgers threw 3 TDs, 0 INTs and won MVP. Pass rush is half of it, with average or below coverage skills, we'll be mid 20s rank in pass D again, I fear.

Wouldn't break the bank for him but he's still better than any cb on our roster. Which i suppose isn't saying too much...

I can dream.

I assume that if the Jets are willing to let AC walk, it's because they will go after Asokajdfadrf hard.

Disclosure: I didn't read the link.

Fortunately I'm not so sure that the jets can afford Asomugha with all the money they have spent the last couple of seasons and them looking to lock up both Santonio Holmes and David Harris long term. Once a new CBA is in place I just don't see them having the room to sign him. I hope I'm right.

if we take him he can replace clements he is a great #2 and a good #1

Rather see them restructure Clements and trade off or dump Spencer.

same here. the zone gives clements alot of s**t because of his contract. (which was never 8 yrs $80m and ended up being a contract we are easily able to get out of before he gets the huge $)

if nate and spencer made the same or around the same $ nate would be recognized as far superior.
