expect big change in sf

Now that we have a new coach new gm and an owner that has tremendous pressure on him to turn around this franchise....mainly at least win the division, expect big changes being aggressive in free agency.
We had to get harbaugh or he would of been hung....same goes for free agency. We will get a qb for sure in free agency and i expect a push for nmandi on the first day or champ. Assuming the cba allows for this.....york and balke need to make a major move or 2 in free agency in order for them to be viewed as trying to remain competitive with the rest of the league and at least the division.
All the pressure is on them to address the qb position and seconday or pass rush as well as rg.

Which positions do you think they will go after? I feel rg qb and cb. Olb and de is after if at all.

No doubt QB will be the first and many think we'll make a big push for Kolb but we'll have to give up a lot to get him. OLB, we may stick with Brooks, re-sign LaBoy and we have Haralson off the bench plus whoever we draft that has great pass rushing skills and the ability to set the edge. CB, no doubt, a MLB and RG and perhaps another T and backup C. And in FA, another RB, esp. a guy who has speed off tackle (Gore's too slow and makes us one-dimensional).

We don't know the detalis of the new CBA cause their isn't one... This will effect how big or small of a splash teams will be able to make in FA; therefore, it's unrealistic to expect big moves in FA.

Spending a bunch of money in FA is not always the answer, it's about spending it wisely and finding players that should and could fit your system which may not always be the most popular choice.

I'll keep my expectations low so I am not let down if we don't come out guns a blazing in FA.
now we need a QB...

This guy will come cheap

Already has a familiarity with the offence

and seems to be a quality guy, Santnford HC Sahw said he run the system like no other in his introductory KNBR interview, Jim said he has a great football IQ, so I think we should get this guy and draft a qb for more competition.

look at this scouting report.

Dunno if you are being sarcastic or not but Peppers has never played OLB in a 3-4 so we can't know for sure how well he would have transitioned though I think he could make the transition. However I could be wrong.

You also have to consider that some players won't want to come here, we have no control over that. You can make offers and try to sell them but it is up to the player to decide if they want to buy. Case in point, the 9ers tried to get Adalius Thomas a few years back and Nolan and Sing had the familiarity with him but he did not want to go west, he wanted to play for the Pats, and rumor had it we offered more cash.

Well I guess I am just a rednecked simple Simon from VA...but my philosophy is......can the man play football? Don't give a rat's arse about 3-4, 4-3 , can the man play the game.....and play it well......
I'd be as happy as a pig in $**t if we got Kolb and Asumugha in FA. It's a pipe dream, but if it happens... Me =

Ok, great. Nice to meet you Simon, how's the weather in VA on this fine day ?

Scheme does matter, as does the team you play for and where that team is situated, who is coaching it, who owns it, how much they would be willing to pay you etc. Sometimes it's only 1 or 2 of those things that matter sometimes it's more.

In Peppers case, he said he wanted to play in a 3-4, he also said he was open to being traded to 4 teams, 2 in the NFC south, Dallas and an AFC team. So he didn't really seem to have any interest in playing here from what we knew.

Okay.....you win.......again.....piss on making a push for any quality FAs that could be an impact player. Let's continue to sign players that are second and third rate role players thus sinking further into mediocrity. Money talks........BS walks......and as far as I am concerned this team has been full of BS from the top down, especially when it comes to FA.
Problem is depending on the CBA there might not be MUCH changes at all coming...
