Why? Really, everytime anyone becomes available people here want to sign them, regardless of how crappy they may be.
Gradkowski is just not very good. But people love him for his heart and tenacity. For whatever reason it masks his actual ability/play in their eyes.
His personality would mesh perfectly with Harbaugh. Sometimes, that makes for a very solid relationship.
He is looking for a QB not a drinking buddy.
What's your deal?

LOL! It's pretty obvious that he's saying their personalities meshing shouldn't hold much weight when it comes to going after a QB.

He reminds me a lot of Garcia (and that is a very, very good compliment).

Right! That's why people, especially around here, like him so much. He's got that Garcia tenacity and competitive spirit but he's not as good as Garcia and never will be.

Agreed. I don't think he will be the reincarnation of Garica either. However, if he is put into the right system that suits his strengths, he could be a very serviceable QB stopgap for a rookie.

He is like a really poor man's version of Jeff Garcia. I think I would bring him in for cheap and make him backup if he would be comfortable in Harbaugh's WCO system. Not sure how much different it is than what he learned in TB. Also, not sure how much he would have to refresh being in Oakland the past two years.

Let him and Alex duke it out for our #3 QB spot.

I think Gradkowski would be a fine stop-gap starter for SF. What kind of contract do you guys see him being offered in the off-season? 2 million a year? Far more?
