Bruce Gradkowski

So it seems that Oakland is quite set on Campbell being their QB for the long haul.

Gradkowski's contract is up this season, but is coming off an injury. He has shown flashes of well enough for a starter but would be a solid back up.

I would love this guy on the roster, I think his passion and fire could teach a QB or even take some snaps in the beginning of the season for us.

If we take a QB in the first and are looking for a vet we can start for a year or so (that's better than Carr), I think Gradkowski would be a fine choice. Maybe not as good as Orton, but certainly cheaper.

He's not a guy I want to build around. But as far as backup QBs I wouldn't mind starting in an important game, he's near the top of the list.
Why? Really, everytime anyone becomes available people here want to sign them, regardless of how crappy they may be.
He'd work until a rookie was ready.. He's better than Carr or T. Smith too
When healthy, he's the best QB they have (played better last season), even venture to say that he's better than any of our QBs, too. I'd sign him in a heart beat...and it would piss off a couple of my friends who are Raiders fans, too.

Because he is a legitimate option at QB till we find our QB of the future. I'm not saying get McNabb, get Palmer, or someone unreasonable, Gradkowski has shown poise and that he can make short to medium throws for a WCO offense.

He's cheap and a leader to win. That's why I want him. He wins games.

Gradkowski is just not very good. But people love him for his heart and tenacity. For whatever reason it masks his actual ability/play in their eyes.

His personality would mesh perfectly with Harbaugh. Sometimes, that makes for a very solid relationship.
I've always liked Gradkowski.
This team needs a marked upgrade at QB, not a Band Aid. The idea is to get a proven capable veteran. if not might as well bring back Alex Smith.

Maybe so. That doesn't mean he's all that good of an NFL QB.
I would'nt sign him, He's injury prone and was only good until oposing Defenses had enough game film to adjust to his strength ala Troy Smith.

Yeah. He's not afraid to go for the big play. He often completes on them too..

David carr has tenacity too. But you don't see me wanting him as our starter.

He is looking for a QB not a drinking buddy.
