Nnamdi Asomugha will become a FA

I'd take him in a heart beat. If Jed is really taken over and wants to win he will ay whatever it takes and sign as many top flight guys as he can!!!!!!!

This..!!! We should cut Nate and make Aso our #1 priority in FA. He would do wonders for a secondary and he doesn't have to move...lol
From Adam Shefter via twitter:

It's complex yet simple: Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha's contract has voided and he will become a free agent http://is.gd/kqOlv

Ok, get rid of Clements and get Nnamdi. Or in other words : Jed, open the purse again ;)

Pay that man!! Then dump Clements and draft Dareus to play DE.

A shutdown CB, bookend DEs, and and All-World ILB... that's a defense.

And where is the blue chip 3-4 OLB pass rusher ?

With Soap inside and a effective rusher at DE (Dareus), that will help the OLBs a lot. Brooks and LaBoy can generate heat and Manny is showing some real promise.

Sure, we still need a stud OLB, but Nnamdi and a top DE would be a huge boost.
Question for ABRules:

If we cut Clement and sign Asomugha what is the net increase?

How feasible is signing Aso though ? Whether we keep or cut Clements that's a load of money tied up at CB.

AB83 can you provide the cap insight on this one ?

We'd be saving $7.25M for 2011, $9M in 2012, and $10.7M in 2013. We'd be liable for $5.5M as that is his remaining amount for the signing bonus. So we'd have $2.75M of dead money for the next two years.

We have enough money to do the move.

Aso will get QB type money. I believe he is currently paid $15M/year. While a lot depends on the upcoming CBA and how players salaries are structured, we will likely be paying a huge premium.

Would be a great sign.....i dont get why everyone wants to run Clements outta town. He is a solid CB and a BEAST against the run.
Zero interceptions cause no one was throwing his way. Shutdown material!!!

Wow, that's a pretty amazing develpment. If we can get his guy, we can concentrate on a QB in the first round of the draft.
OMFG get him
give him everything

He's not a possible FA, he is a free agent.

He is not worth the money he is getting. Unless he restructures, we should cut him and go after Asomugha.
