You mean the long time offensive line coach that Andy Reid thought would make a good defensive coordinator isn't working out?

Yeah I don't know what the hell Reid was thinking there

Even though their DC may not play to NA's strengths, he's an elite CB and was paid accordingly, he should be able to do anything asked of him, man coverage, zone, blitz, whatever. As an example of an elite defender, P. Willis has consistently played at a high level, no matter whom his DC was. I just don't buy the whole "wrong scheme" and believe NA's skills have diminished somewhat and is overpaid, too. Admittedly, I wanted him to be our premier CB in place of Clements. Glad we didn't get caught up in that crazy bidding war.

No. Any player who looks only for the most money is not someone I want on my team.

The Eagles themselves should be the best example that "buying" a team is usually not a good idea. Too many egos get in the way when you assemble a bunch of guys based on money instead of good football.

Nightmare season for Philly ...I thought they were going to shut some asses down with all that talent they assembled on defense ...this will be Andy Reid's last season

Hhe would fit much better in our system and with our front 7? Jeezus that would be mortifying for opposing OCordinators... but I see your point and digress...

i thought he took less money to sign with a "contender"

his words ....he wanted to get paid, he got his big check, and now he is stuck playing zone coverage, rather than man to man, which is obviously the strength of his game
Andy Reid made the mistake of making somone into a coordinator that shouldn't have been just like Nolan did with Hostetler or whatever his name was. Knowing how to coach the person and knowing how to use him properly or getting someone that fits what you want to do is more important. Too many zoners get caught up with wanting someone with name recognition.
Dude couldn't even trail Crabbys grass trails.
