Michael Vick bandwagon

I was late but these last two games have me on the bandwagon. If he can run and throw like he has been then Vick is a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. The man put over 400 yards of offense by himself!!

I'm very comfortable with going after Vick and giving him a sweet 5 to 6 year deal, which will probably be comparable to the money we'd be giving a rookie QB (the only of which I'm comfortable with is Andrew Luck). With the weapons we have and just one speedy receiver that can catch consistently would make this offense lethal. As someone stated before, with Vick alone, we win the west. With Vick and what we already have on offense, we're NFC title contenders. Give us just one speedy receiver to add in with Gore, VD, Crabtree, Walker, and the returning skills of Ted Ginn, and I see the 5th Lombardi trophy on the horizon. And this could happen in spite of our defense that is only good except when you need them to make a stop.

No way the Eagles let him hit the free agency market. Word is that the Redskins were gonna ramp it up and pay Vick whatever he wants. But they heard that there is no way that he hits the free agency market and the Eagles will extend him to a monster contract. Thus they re signed McNabb. They fear the work stoppage will severely hurt the qb market. the Niners and all other teams with bad qb's already blew there chances of getting Vick when they didn't go after him getting out of prison.

for what its worth Troy put up 370 yards of total offense against the 10th ranked defense...and now they are ranked 12th because of it..lol.

and he probably would've had more if not for the holding calls....

as far as Vick, I have believed in him ever since he was the first visiting QB to win a playoff game at Lambo, which was also the first time a visiting QB won a game there when it was below 30 degrees. That season he was playing from the pocket and making great plays....its funny he lost the next week at the Championship game against the Eagles and McNabb of all teams....Eagles defense was furious that day.

I agree that there's is probably no chance the Eagles let him walk.

Also, given the quality of the Nines coaching staff, I'm not entirely sure Vick would be enjoying the success he's having in Philly in SF if the Nines originally signed him. Andy Reid is a hell of a coach and it has never been more apparent than now.
I ain't gonna lie. I was dead wrong about Vick. I never thought much of him, but this guy has become the complete package.

AND

He is growing up big time. The guy really is changed, it does not seem like an act, he really gets it now.

Good for him.
we should listen to willis next time
How anyone thought that Vick wouldn't be a major upgrade over A.Smith is beyond me. Bunch of homers!

Wow people are are quick to jump on a bandwagon. Color me skeptical. Vick has had stretches like this throughout his career and they usually last 3-4 games. Now maybe he has changed as a player, but I want to see it for an entire season before I change my mind. I will say that this is by far the most talent and best coaching he's had so he SHOULD succeed. But I'm not ready to say he has just yet.
I still hate the SOB!

But dayum...6 TDs is amazing!
his physical skills are unmatched in the NFL. If you wanna talk about someone having "potential", it doesn't get any better than this.

Vick is clowning on every other qb in the league right now. that's right drew brees, payton manning, tom brady none of them can measure up to vick's skill right now. vick might be league mvp this year.

I would also add in Mcnabb to go along with that coaching staff. I think McNabb and Reid both helped Vick realize how to play qb. Then Vick realized that he has to put in the time to watch tape and work hard. and this is the result. And he has a ton of weapons to use. He learned how to play by watching and listening. Being humbled by his stupidity will do that to people.

Most definitely. I'm happy to see the dude rebound, and rebuild his career. It's a crazy, crazy story. But, judging by the way that he played yesterday, there are quite a few NFL franchises that (now) wouldn't mind the inevitable PR hit from acquiring Mike Vick.

If you started him in your fantasy league this week, nice work.
