New coach, a lot of times they bring in new people that they know better or feel they can better run their system. Its not always if he can play deal, there are 3 new qbs in washington there is your answer. I still feel someone will pick him up

He can play in a gimmicky college offense.

He cant play in a NFL offense, which is what the Redskins run

There was a time when the WCO was called a "gimmicky" offense. I thought he would have a chance in the NFL in the WCO offense as he doesn't have the strongest build or arm. But then again, the WCO seems to be one of the more difficult offenses to learn.

It's time to give up on him. From this point on he's lucky to be Bruce Gradkowski. He's just not going to get the time in a system to develop into the man.

He'll find another job but the only appearance he'll get is in a Ryan Fitzpatrick kinda role. Season's done, starting QB is out try to make the best out of it.

I could've sworn I just showed a video clip of Colt Brennan running a west coast style offense.

WCO and Hawaii are light years apart.

I HATE the Redskins bc I have lots of friends in the DC area who root for them. Anyways, word from DC is this guy was always hurt/having surgery. He also played very poorly in all 3 pre season games in 2009. One article said he was not liked by many bc of his cocky attitude.

Zorn wanted to cut him before the 2009 season even started

When Brennan finally played a real team and was made to look like crap against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, it was obvious he was nothing more than a big fish in a small pond, and didn't have much of a future. Time to try the CFL and then the AFL for him him.

So if its OK to play with a s**tty offensive line than Alex Smith should have no excuses from the start. Obviously you really didn't watch the Sugar Bowl, did you??

Brennan's Preseason in his rookie year>>>>>>>>Alex Smith's rookie year Preseason.

If you consider the Hawaii O-line crappy because they couldn't give Brennan his normal 5 seconds to pass that he needed? He piled up all those records because he had all day to throw to wide open receivers. The WAC is a second rate conference at best and is great at producing system QBs who put up inflated numbers against weak defenses.

Wow, that's it, that's your answer.

I can't even get a "Yah you're right his O-line couldn't give him enough time to throw" reply.

Seriously, did you even watch the Sugar Bowl??

I called that kid garbage at the Senior Bowl and got flack for it.....guess I was right.

Join da club.. I always have to remind our "resident experts" how right I was.

So quick to call players trash, when they haven't even played a regular season game yet. Than by your logic, Phillip Rivers should be a "bust" and even Alex Smith.

I have always believed in Brennan and still do, he played very well in most of his pre-season games these past few years. I think he is finally injury free and im sure some team will pick him up.
