When Brennan finally played a real team and was made to look like crap against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, it was obvious he was nothing more than a big fish in a small pond, and didn't have much of a future. Time to try the CFL and then the AFL for him him.

So if its OK to play with a s**tty offensive line than Alex Smith should have no excuses from the start. Obviously you really didn't watch the Sugar Bowl, did you??
Brennan's Preseason in his rookie year>>>>>>>>Alex Smith's rookie year Preseason.
Do I sense a Hawaii homer
Yes sir, but am I wrong???
I never liked Brennan at all, he played in a VERY gimmicky offense. I wasn't impressed when he played against GA but when I could really watch him at the Senior Bowl it was obvious....he wasn't that good. To be honest the level of competition he faced in college was low.
I know your argument and I think I've debated that with you over and over back in 2008. I thinks that's why I never replied to your first post. So I'mma break it down quick style for you:
Sugar Bowl - No O-line, or O-line was getting beat like a step child, not to mention Hawaii's defense was over-whelmed by Georgia's O and Knowshon Morena.
Senior Bowl - From what I recall, fared well in practices, but looked anything but spectacular in the game. Given only a week to learn a new offense, not to mention Martz' reworked his mechanics.
Now apply that to Alex Smith and I bet you, you see a totally different situation where its the receivers fault, defense and very little chemistry with the offense.
